(This could be completely nonsensical, i didn't structure it at all and its kinda just 1st draft rambling) Every time I see someone respond to "jax is trans" with all the bad things she's done I always want to ask what that has to do with anything. "Jax is trans" and "jax is a bad person" are not contradicting statements. She can be both. Negative representation is important, especially because in the case of jax She represents what the repression of your identity leads to: hurting people, pushing everyone away and ultimately dying alone. I've seen people try to say that because she's an abuser shes bad rep or even transphobic rep but I reject the idea that just because someone is Negative representation means they are bad representation. Negative rep can be bad rep if thats the only form of of representation being made but zooble is also trans and they're jax's number 2 critique and are on all acounts positive representation. The show also goes out of its way to tell you jax is bad by showing you her worst sides of herself then right after all the chances she had to change and accept herself. In the end we see Lee, who unlike jax took their chance to chance to change and better themself. Lee is jax if she went down the right path and the show celebrates that he did because the message you are suppose to take from jax's story is that you can't let anxiety andself-hatred turn you into a monter and yourlife can only get better if you choose to let it. Jax is by design a terrible person. But she's also a trans woman and because of that she's lovely.
