You mean how Izu/Ocha, TogaChako, and BakuDeku all have heavy parallels towards each other? Because you can't say that Uraraka's "I want to be just like Deku"/"I want to be a Hero like Deku" is somehow inherently romantic, while Midoriya's "I want to be just like Kacchan"/"I want to be a Hero like Kacchan" is somehow platonic (despite being twice as vivid).
You mean how Toga- not only was the first person to TELL Uraraka that she was in love, but has also explicitly said that she loves Uraraka?
You mean like how Uraraka is the only one that's shown any romantic interest... in her romantic interest? The last Izu->Ocha content we got was, what? Back when he still called her "a girl" instead of her actual name.
You mean like how Midoriya has activated three different facets of his quirk for Uraraka? Oh, wait, that was actually for Bakugou... my bad lmao.
Even the scene where Uraraka grabs onto Midoriya during his Black Whip reveal- she still needed Shinsou or her efforts wouldn't have done jack shit. I thought love conquered all, huh? Even then, Monoma didn't insult Uraraka or even Midoriya's /team/, not his class, not his teacher, not his dream: he insulted Bakugou.
I mean, even during Uraraka's speech- at a time when Every Single One of Midoriya's classmates was talking about the way that Midoriya impacted their lives, half of her speech wasn't even about him, it was about her OWN past.
Not only that, gal was in the MIDDLE of defending her friend, who looks like a kick puppy, from an angry ass mob, and what, pray tell, crosses her mind? It wasn't Midoriya, that's for sure. She's in the middle of an important speech, and she's thinking about some other girl.
Some other girl who has told her that she loves her.
Toga is open about her feelings constantly, unlocking facets of her quirk because of Uraraka, saying she loves Uraraka, thinking about Uraraka-
Like Midoriya is constantly getting quirk upgrades because of Bakugou- not even just unlocking Black Whip, or Danger Sense which we first see used in the War Arc- you guessed it! When Shigaraki hurt Bakugou.
You mean "romantic" like how Midoriya has been consistently passing Uraraka over for Bakugou? Even as early as Kacchan versus Deku one! He got the shit beaten out of him, and Uraraka is there, by his bedside- a cute girl!!! Caring about him!! And what does this man do?
He stands right up and bolts over to Bakugou to blab the fact that he was, in fact, quirkless and the quirk he had was given to him.
Not to mention, the last time Uraraka actually had a thought of her own in regards to Midoriya, it was back during the Sports Festival, when she claimed that she wanted to separate from him.
How many people TOLD this girl that she was in love before she started puppeting it?
Uraraka is the ONLY leg that Izu/Ocha is standing on and girl can't go three seconds without someone giving her the eyebrows. She told herself to stop relying on Midoriya, and then, guess what?
Aoyama told her "You're wondering what would Midoriya do, aren't you?"*
He TOLD her that she was in love, because she was thinking about him during the heat of battle (which honestly, guys... it's a stupid bottom line; they're Hero students, yeah they're going to take inspiration from each other)
*However, my personal bias aside: using the fact that "thinking about what (person) would do-" is the equivalent of "liking someone"... well who does Midoriya think about?
Then, again, during the Training Camp, Toga opened her speech with, "You like someone, don't you?" going on to say that, for her, "liking someone means wanting to be just like that person
And we all know who famously Midoriya wants to/acts just like!
But, I thought that "wanting to be just like someone," was a romantic thing! According to both Aoyama and Toga, who said that Uraraka was in love with Midoriya because she wanted to be just like him?
So either BakuDeku is romantic, or Izu/Ocha isn't. You can't have both.
TogaChako, on the other hand, IS canonically romantic- if not one sided- because we don't have to extrapolate (or be told by other people) that Toga is in love with Uraraka: she tells us herself.
So, @psykopoulpe , if Izu/Ocha has such an "explicit romance," then BakuDeku ALSO has an explicit romance, because they share heavy, heavy parallels, and after all, none of these are looking at Uraraka:
And no offense, but, acknowledging that as the case, BakuDeku is winning... they have so much charge and fire and MUTUAL growth based on each other (not that her affection for Midoriya has ever actually been shown to grow Uraraka's character, but).
Acknowledging that Midoriya's influence on Uraraka as a Hero is the same as romantic love is ALSO acknowledging Midoriya's influence on Bakugou as a Hero being the same as romantic love, because Bakugou has been repeatedly shown to mirror Midoriya's actions, becoming a Hero that wins AND saves. (And of course, it also as I said acknowledges Bakugou's influence on Midoriya as a Hero- so would you look at that! BakuDeku is not only canonically romantic, but it's also requited.)

Back during that time, everyone who had helped Bakugou was sleeping peacefully as he worried himself half to death about being the End Of All Might- the only one who was close enough to Bakugou to make him want to call out to, was Midoriya.
As opposed to now, the only person who should arguably be the closest to, should care the most about Midoriya... is sleeping peacefully, while he is still left to carry the burden of everything that happened.
These are both intentional choices, and narratively they make the claim that:
In his time of need, Midoriya was the closest to Bakugou.
On the flip side, during Midoriya's time of need, Uraraka was the farthest away.
But I guess extrapolating from canon is only valid when it's for heterosexual reasons saying that Midoriya "clearly" has romantic feelings for Uraraka because he respects her as a friend and early on in the series he acknowledged that she was, indeed, a cute girl.
There is literally no way to claim that BakuDeku and TogaChako are not romantic, while still claiming that Izu/Ocha is. There are just too many parallels. The only difference is: Midoriya thinks his feelings are "gross," three different people have told Uraraka that she's in love, Bakugou has literally said 'I spent my days to find out your strengths and weaknesses' as well as 'I know him best' (but extrapolating is only for her pairings), and Toga is the only one who can honestly say that she's in love with Uraraka (who reached a conclusion of their own will).
