Looney Tunes Show S2E10 “A Christmas Carol”

D’aw…  Bugs and Lola snuggle together while watching the news….

As a side note, I like how’s there has been notable progression in the Bunny’s relationship through the seasons. In S1, Bugs was somewhat charmed by Lola’s cuteness and energy, but didn’t find a full-on relationship desirable due to her personality. Lola, particularly in earlier episodes, came off as a mad stalker utterly obsessed with Bugs and his attention.

In S2, they seem to have grown much closer and learned to work with each other rather than against. Lola is shown to have a life outside of Bugs; she spends more time with her parents, and is friends with Tina. Meanwhile, Bugs genuinely seems to enjoy spending time with Lola as a healthy couple. They hangout with one another, have friendly conversations, and support one another.

It’s particularly notable in this episode. Bugs finds Lola’s rewritten version of A Christmas Carol to be utterly stupid and banal, but he doesn’t attack or directly belittle her for her efforts. In fact, he respects the time and commitment she put into it, and he acknowledges how important the play is to her. When Lola and the other actors get trapped under the stage, Bugs puts on the entire play as a one-man show rather than cancel the play he already has a low opinion of and let her hard work go to waste. Bugs acts like a genuinely supportive boyfriend.
