Road Trip, Cairns - Cape Tribulation (23.11.)
Rainy Sydney made our final Good Bye easier… Welcome to tropical Queensland the starting point of my East Coast Trip: Cairns -> Brisbane
After one day in Cairns, which would become our base for the next 10 days, Thais, Laura, Anna and me started our little road trip to Cape Tribulation. From Cairns via Port Douglas and Mossman Gorge we make our way north to Cape Tribulation, the last "point of civilization" from which onwards only unsealed roads continue.
Lots of sugar cane, swimming in Mossman Gorge during tropical rainfall, wattleseed and soursop ice cream, Daintree Forest <3

We "Rock the Centre" Tour, Day 1 (02.11.)
Alice Springs - Kings Canyon
Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia (23.12.)
One day Kuala Lumpur, only a 45min flight away!
Christmas in Singapore (18.12. -27.12.)
After my East Coast Trip and travels in Tasmania, I left Australia for good on the 18th to meet my parents here in Singapore. We had an awesome time together: exploring the city, taking a short trip to Kuala Lumpur and relaxing in Sentosa. I'm so happy they made the long journey to spend the holidays with me!
I haven't posted anything during the last weeks in Australia keeping busy with final exams, saying goodbyes and traveling. Therefore, I will simply catch up to the present by posting some pictures of my travels to the Outback, East Coast and Tasmania soon!
But before that I'll be celebrating New Years Eve here in Singapore with my friend Mara from Maastricht and then fly to Bangkok for my internship :)
I hope you all had wonderful holidays as well!
Wishing you a good start into 2014, Greetings from Singapore :)
Day 6 Great Ocean Road: Lorne - Melbourne (04.10.)
Spending the day at Melbourne Luna Park before boarding the plane to Sydney!
Great Ocean Road Day 5: Port Campbell - Lorne (03.10.)
It paid off that we had skipped the 12 Apostels earlier on our Tour due to bad weather. This way we were able to enjoy them on our sunniest day on the way back :)

Great Ocean Road Day 5: Halls Gap - Port Campbell (03.10.)
Grampians National Park :)
Great Ocean Road Day 4: Portland- Halls Gap (02.10.)
During our stop at the Petrified Forest (in case YOU, like me before, haven't heard of this so far: "The petrified forest was formed when the forest of Moonah trees was smothered by a large sand dune. Water seeping through the sand formed a crust of sandstone on the outside of the trunks, decaying the organic matter, leaving behind petrified trunks." ) and Blow Holes close to Portland, we could witness nature's full force. In the hope for better weather we decided to leave the coast behind and visit the Grampians National Park. Of course us girls underestimated the time completely and finally had to drive in the dark on the lonely National Park Roads being scared by numerous Kangaroos crossing the street in front of our car. Milou you did a great job ;)
Great Ocean Road Day 4: Portland (02.10.)
Cape Nelson Lighthouse (very windy!) and Cape Bridgewater
Great Ocean Road Day 3: Griffiths Island and Port Fairy Lighthouse (01.10.)
While Justine and Milou enjoy the little sunshine next to our van, Saskia and me use the time to explore beautiful Griffith Island during our lunch break…
Great Ocean Road Day 3: Port Campbell- Portland (01.10.)
On our third day we pass the Bay of Islands Coastal Park and stop on numerous lookouts. Via Warrnambool and a very rural area where the road is not located directly next to the coast and endless cattle pasture we make our way to Port Fairy. We can enjoy the sun during our break in this cute little town next to the sea, before it starts raining again in the afternoon while we head to Portland.

Great Ocean Road Day 3: Bay of Islands Coastal Park Panoramas
Great Ocean Road Day 2: Lorne - Port Campbell (30.09.)
After passing some first stunning parts of the Great Ocean Road, the bad weather finally starts to set in. On the last part of our trip it is storming and raining so much that we even have to drive past the 12 Apostles (THE main sight on the Great Ocean Road). We hope the weather will be better on our way back!
