Academic refereeing is where an academic or professional in a particular field evaluates material going into a journal and decides whether it should be published or if changes need to be made. Also called a "peer review" this is done in order to ensure the quality and credibility of the publiation.

Blueprint has been published monthly in the UK (London) since 1983. It contains high quality photography and illustration as well as strong criticism on different areas of design and architecture.

The Architectural Review has been published monthly in London since 1896. It is a global journal which is read in over 130 countries and covers a wide range of topics related to the built environment including landscape, interior design, architecture and urbanism.

GAM - contents of the last 3 issues

GAM is published annually in both German and English by the Graz Technical University located in Styria, Austria. Each issue focuses on a different aspect or theme relating to architecture, landscape and urbanism. The aim is to contribute to discourse on the subject in question with authors of the articles posing opposite viewpoints. Articles are reviewed and chosen by an international editorial board.
