i love that there are so many queer artists at the front of pop. for me, sexuality is a fluid thing and it’s hard to be just the one way. but maybe that’s just because i like both!

At some point [the band] got so dysfunctional that we didn’t even let in outside writers, We didn’t have a producer. We didn’t have a label. I love the 90s because it’s sort of playful and girly, but also have this toughness and this movement to it – there’s something messy about it that makes it easy but also appealing.

I love to read, and I am kind of different from most of the kids at my school. I hate gossip and being catty and playing games with guys’ minds. I’m not into it. I’d rather be reading a book.
