I got to Galaxy con thanks to a wonderful friend. I saw so many amazing cosplays, alas mine wasn't done but I did get some nifty stuff. More dice for the hoard.

Huzzah it's finally done!!! In all honesty I'm not super enthused on how the mask sculpting went but I am new to clay. I did have to destroy a pair of pants for the elastic but it was well worth not driving to the store. I think the paint really helped though. As for the stick it was simple the lines aren't neat even though I used tape but it's better than my first try nearly a year ago. I think I just needed to actually see this project through this time even if it could use lots of improvement.

I unfortunately had to resculpt the whole thing because the clay I used cracked beyond repair. I'm not entirely pleased with the droopiness of this one but I can't do this a 4th time. But the new clay is holding up and I got the pole attached. In other news a pinata bashing stick is in the works. Very excited to paint it my goal is to have this all done in like a week to make it for a con but I don't think it's happening.

I finally looked at the actual mask again so I had a better idea of the mask. I moved the mouth and tried to attach the pole thing but it kept falling so suggestions would be nice if anyone has any. I did paint the eyes and found good news the vision didn't change so small victories. Gonna add the teeth next.

Started working on my 2nd attempt to make a dastardos mask. It's mostly from memory so it's pretty wonky but I'm proud of it this far, definitely gonna have to sand it
