animatronics & motionettes

My name is LuChina and I have been collecting holiday animatronics and motionettes since 2017. I post about them on instagram as well (anihcul) but I wanted to have a more organized place solely dedicated to showing my collection and reblogging other posts about motionettes. I’ll also post about larger animatronics that I’ve seen occasionally. 

I used to be @motionettes​ but I lost access to the account. I wanted to restart my blog anyway though.

To start off, here’s a picture of my collection from 2 years ago! (I realize it looks kind of crowded and that’s because I tried to fit them all on the same table, now they’re more spread out.)

Animal Krakers from Huckleberry Junction

Robinson's Barnyard Follies was an animatronic musical comedy show featuring a cow named Milky Pearl, a donkey named Donkey Gritts, and a pig named Sergeant Sausage. They were used at fairs in a bunch of states in the early 90s. The idea for them came from Carlotta Robinson and they were built by the Creegen Company. Apparently each character had 15 movements and the pig could be controlled to have live conversations with the audience with someone voicing him

A Santa motionette I saw at an antique store

Telco Small Fry Christmas Motionette from 1994. She plays part of 18 Christmas songs

Recently (august 2024) acquired this Telco Easter bunny motionette (1992), here is a video of him

I posted about how I saw a slightly different one of these and didn't get it, but this time I did buy it. It was the same price too. But I think I like this version slightly better. (I think the other one was also missing his hand?)
