SHEPPARD!

Been wanting to play #alicemadnessreturns on stream for a while now!! If you like the game drop a follow because I’ll be playing it through to the end.

The invitations had been sent in gilded envelopes and heavy card stock. The beautiful turn of the century hotel was planned to be at capacity for the first time in fifty years. Thirteen floors and three massive ballrooms once again full of life and ripe for the picking, with three simultaneous conventions in the same hotel all oddly homogenous in themes; it seemed like a dream come true for scientists and Mages alike. 

The themes all seemed to run from magical endeavors and artifacts, all the way to the applied sciences of magic; including the foremost researcher in the field of magical measurement. The old hotel was to be filled with a mesmerizing amount of life. From young Mages and magic enthusiasts all the way to established Mage scientists. 

Roman Cain was to be there for two reasons: the first was a chance to get his true magical output tested by an unbiased third party, not paid for by his family, and the second, and probably more important reason, was to be away from his mother’s ever judging gaze.

As he sat in the family car he felt nothing but an all too known sense of emptiness while he and his Familiar sat in total silence, not needing words to communicate. He was depending on this weekend to help clear his mind, he needed it to go well, if just for the sake of his sanity. He put away his headphones and tried to concentrate. He might have been in a bad mood but he still had to be the person the world expected him to be, and for that he needed to prepare. He looked out the window at the impressive face of The Hotel, with its architecture and imposing entrance backed by a sky filled with storm clouds and he felt nothing but a subtle anger as the car stopped and he exited. He walked up the steps to the lobby and step by step he became exactly who his family needed him to be, who his mother, Paige, demanded he be.
