Solo ardor points are points earned from you doing event battles while you're playing a certain characters path and go back to zero when you start a new characters path
Total ardor points are points you've accumulated throughout the event, it's a combination of your solo ardor points and 1/5 of your event friends solo ardor points
Solo ardor points do count towards your total but are mostly gained from doing event battles, and how much ardor points you get from event battles depend on your friend rating(sending help to your event friends) and go back to zero when you start a new path
The number on the left on the event home is the solo ardor points you've accumulated overall but not for the current path your playing. The number on the right is your total ardor points. At the top of the event screen, right under where your gems are, is the number of solo ardor points you've gained for that current path your playing.
Even if the event home screen says you have 18k solo ardor points, you only have access the the ardor points you've gained during that event path, which in your case is 2k
The ardor missions for chapter 1 and 2 and the first ardor mission of chapter 3 are total ardor point mission, but the last ardor mission of chapter 3 that will allow you to move on to chapter 4 is a solo ardor point mission and you need to gain 7500 solo ardor points to finish it
