KATSEYE's Manon Bannerman has been spotted with an unknown girl who resembles actress ex-girlfriend, (Y/n) (L/n), in an ice cream shop in Malibu.

You read the headline with bleary eyes. You had just woken up to your phone's ringer going off a little too much to ignore. It was messages from your friends, wanting to know if you were okay and if you had seen the news. And when you did click a link that someone had sent, your heart sunk to your stomach, and you suddenly felt a little sick.

You didn't expect to see Manon sharing ice cream with a B-list actress in a spot you had both claimed to be your own.

It made you scoff as you shook your head in disbelief. Another actress. A girl who shared the color of your eyes and the style of hair. It was almost unbelievable to you that Manon would go this far to get back at you for a break up that wasn't even your fault. A break up that was supposed to be amicable. You both agreed that it was for the best. However, when all was said in done, it only felt like one of you were making strides to getting better. The other was still stuck in the days of the past.

Something that you felt yourself being pulled to now, too.

"Do you want to on a date?" You had never seen Manon nervous before. It made you smile a bit. Not because it was funny, but it was endearing to see her standing in front of you, just as vulnerable as you were with her. "There's this ice cream shop in Malibu, and I thought you'd like it. If not, maybe we could still go as friends?"

*You shook your head quickly, taking one of her hands. "No," you told her, not wanting her to go back on the date idea. "I mean- *Yes*, to the date, but *no, I don't want to go as friends." You told her, wanting her to know just how badly you wanted this. How badly you wanted her.

You didn't know how you got to the pictures on your phone from your first date, but here you were. The two of you had big smiles on your faces as you rode to Malibu. You were both still so new to the scene. Fresh faces that barely got recognition. You didn't realize you'd ever miss the days before you started booking better roles. You couldn't help but compare the photos between your trip to Malibu with Manon to hers with that girl. A girl that made you feel ugly with jealousy. The situation made you wonder if she was getting deja vu right about now.

Your stomach churned as you thought about the reason you two broke up in the first place. It made your head spin to relive the moment where it ended, where the two of you claimed that it was the right thing. It was mutual. Though, the evident outcome of her finding your lookalike, you decided that it must not have been as amicable as you thought.

*"We've been falling apart, haven't we?" She asked, not wanting the answer. She already knew what it was, and she wasn't ready to accept it. Admittedly, she wanted to stay in this unhealthy bubble you two had created. Everything else in her life was going good. Katseye just released their first EP, *Beautiful Chaos, she was getting the recognition she deserved, and she had an amazing girlfriend that she loved. She didn't want to let go. She wasn't ready. "Is there any way we can try to fix this?"

It wasn't like you wanted to let go either. You just didn't have time to be a couple anymore. It wasn't about her, it wasn't about you. It was all about time. "I don't think we can… We're both growing… You're gearing up for festivals and tour, and I'm about to fly to London for six months for a film." You told her, your heart aching. You two knew what needed to happen. And it broke both of your hearts as you both agreed that it was time. By the time the conversation ended, you were crying on the car ride to LAX, leaving her behind.

A ding broke up your thoughts. Manon had posted an Instagram post. Wiping the tears falling down your face, you clicked on the notification. It was a picture of her with her ice cream, She's Always a Woman by Billy Joel played on a post, and she adorned a smile that didn't exactly reach her eyes. You hated caring about how she felt in that moment. Not when it was evident that this was all to hurt you. Everything in the photo depicted all of your favorite things.

The ice was your favorite flavor. The song choice was your top Billy Joel song. Even the shirt was a shirt you had bought Manon because you loved the way she looked in it. The entire post was a message that she wasn't over you.

You sucked in your bottom lip as you clicked her account. Everything she did was to tell you how much she wanted you back. Admittedly, if she were to text you before the newsletter, you'd jump at the opportunity to reunite with her. However, you couldn't. Not after realizing that she was trying to get your attention by hurting you.

Staring at her account, you realized that everything her new girlfriend was receiving was all reused. Your finger hovered over the unfollow button, blinking away the tears in your eyes. She wasn't going to get the chance to use another girl to hurt you. She couldn't reuse everything you built together to win you back. You refused to allow it. You knew what you had to do, no matter how much it hurt.
