Rocky notices that after spending time with Simon, Grace is a little bubble headed but always gets his best ideas after. He's smiling so much and getting distracted, talking about off topic things like Earth drive in movies instead of the very unexpendable experiment in his hands, His heart beat is up slightly and his body is a little redder then usual, but sometimes he gets ideas that he didn't have before. Almost like after sleep, how his brain suddenly thinks of a solution from the social interaction.
Rocky, accusing Grace of getting dumber and asking if its part of the "human mating ritual" they do sometimes.
"What?? Its just kissing. Thats not-.. no. I-its different."
"Kissing is not human mating ritual? Question?"
"Well.. I.. i guess.. but I wouldn't say were mates. Just.. seeing where stuff goes.. you know?"
"Why human mate process so complicated? Is kissing the same as courting? Grace? Question?"
Grace, who now has his head in his hands, clearly red and distressed, realizing that holy shit this is totally considered courting.
"Grace? Is simon a bad mate suitor? Question?"
"Noo.. its just.. its really complicated! Its not that simple. I mean.. it is simple.. its natural biology.. Just- socially hard to explain.
"Explain anyway. Need word for stupid after not-human-mate-ritual."
Grace, going to the computer and typing in "Foolish."
"Mmh no- not word. Different."
Grace types in "Idiot."
"Rocky feel like Grace dosn't know word."
"I tried telling you. I don't know a word for this. I'll try to be less dumb during lab hours. Okay?"
Grace planned on no longer seeing Simon after lunch. Would be a little difficult though considering theyre all stuck on the same ship.
