It's August, and I'm once again participating in another round of Little Gui Takeover! This time, the theme is about Sun/Water and beach stuff in general! Luckily, I have the PERFECT thing for this one! Thanks to Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez Parallactic Clash, I was introduced to RealRomantic who made the ending theme for that anime! I discovered the song ice cream LOVE and started listening to it a lot- so when I saw this prompt, I just KNEW this song would fit this prompt! Yep, it's time for another round of Maou's song and fic mashup!!
Once again, special thanks to @angeliteeyes for making this event!
Inspired by ice cream LOVE by RealRomantic
Unfortunately, I cannot find the romaji lyrics for this song so I'll be sticking to the official kanji and english lyrics shown in the music video!
I also have no clue if I wrote Tingyun right and I REALLY hope I did lol-
Xianzhou College AU Guinaifen x Gender-Neutral Reader
Synopsis: "片思いのカケラ 見え隠れしてる (You have a crush on her, don't ya?)"
"You're in love with her, aren't you?"
You choked on your drink the second Tingyun had mentioned it.
"W-what are you talking about?" you awkwardly glanced at her once you caught your breath.
"The DJ." your classmate winked. "What was her name again? Hmmmm...Guinaifen, right? The girl who just moved onto campus?"
"Y-yeah- so?" you gulped, your face slowly turning red. "What about her?"
A sly smile crept onto Tingyun's lips. "I've seen the way you look at her, (Y/N)~" Tingyun hummed as she glanced towards the orange student who was throwing it back on the dance floor. "You can barely keep eye contact with her, you're constantly blushing, the way you part your bangs just to see more of her, stuff like that~" Tingyun watched as her "suspicions" were confirmed, your face blushing madly as you glanced towards the ground. "You're barely able to hold a proper conversation with her too! It's kind of adorable~"
"Tingyun, stop!!!" you quickly hushed her. "J-just stop!"
"And why would I?" Tingyun playfully stuck her tongue out. "As your closest friend here, I have the right to tease you~"
"More like bullying-"
Ah...that's Tingyun alright...she's able to see right through everyone...and as your roommate and longtime best friend, Tingyun knows exactly what you're thinking at all times just by looking at you! She always says "Your body language makes you way too obvious~".
...But...yeah, she's right. Ever since Guinaifen (chaotically) stumbled her way into campus, she was all you could ever think about. Tingyun literally read you like an open book and pointed out every single thing that showed how down bad you were for her- seriously, Guinaifen is just way too charming! She's so carefree like a lot of other students, but she's just- well- super cute and awesome and the way she smiles could light up a galaxy and-
Your eyes shot wide opened as you grabbed Tingyun by the arm. "Wait, did you invite me to this party because-?!"
"Hmmmmm~?" Tingyun giggled. "Whatever could you mean, (Y/N)~?" Tingyun glanced towards the beach dance floor once more where Guinaifen took another shot of drinks. "Why don't you talk to her? You're here after all~"
"Yeah, but-!"
"Little Gui, how are you able to hold your liquor so well?!"
"Huh?" Guinaifen shrugged from her place at the table. "No clue. Anyways, the music isn't gonna make itself! See ya~!"
Guinaifen began rushing back to her booth as the waves crashed against the shore once more, splashing a bunch of your friends who were near there. Tingyun could only giggle as she approached the shore, dipping her feet into the water while she dragged you along. "If you don't do anything, someone else might sweep her off her feet."
"W-well- I-"
"Coming through everyone! Sorry!"
Tingyun instinctively placed her leg over yours as you tripped and toppled onto the incoming Guinaifen. Both of you crashed towards the ground while you continued to curse Tingyun's name.
"Sorry about that!" Guinaifen apologized, gently helping you back onto your feet. "I'm really sorry about that! Are you okay?"
"H-huh-? uh- yeah-"
"You sure?" Guinaifen glanced with concern, slowly examining your body before brushing off any sand that got onto you. "I'm really sorry about that-"
"No, don't worry about it! I tripped because of a certain someone." you glared towards Tingyun, only for her to vanish from your sight. "Ah..there she goes again..."
"Oh, you're Tingyun's friend!" Guinaifen gasped, gently grasping your hands. "She told me a lot about you!"
"Wait, huh?!"
"Mhm! She told me about how adorable you are~!" Guinaifen couldn't help but giggle and pat your head. "Well, it seems to be true! Sorry, but I gotta run back! Uh you spilled your drink, right? I'll buy you a new one, I promise! See you around, (Y/N)!"
And the ball of sunshine had disappeared into the crowd. And yet...what did Tingyun say about you?! How many embarrassing stories did she tell?! "Tingyun, when I get my hands on you-!"
"You called?"
In a snap, you glared at her. "The hell did you say to her?!"
"Just some things to raise you chance with her~"
"What the hell are you even talking about?!"
"She also said she wanted to get to know you better after your little mishap on her first day." Tingyun toyed with her bangs. "It's why she approached me."
"...I-"
"Did you know some other people plan on asking her out today?" you froze the second Tingyun mentioned it, grinding your sandals into the sand. "Who knows if she'll accept?"
"Tingyun, you-"
"アイスが溶けちゃう前に (Before this ice cream melts)"
"恋のスイーツめしあがれ (Try take a bite of this sweetness)"
The speakers blasted music as Tingyun as she handed you a cup. "A drink~ For good luck~"
Well? What will it be?
Will you live your life with more regrets as usual?
Or will you do it?
Without hesitation, you downed a shot of the alcohol Tingyun had given you for courage as you rushed towards her.
"GUINAIFEN, I LOVE YOU!"
Yeah...you couldn't remember a thing afterwards...
At least Tingyun has screenshots for you!
...you're never gonna hear the end of this...
"この夏は一度きり (Don't let this summer slip away)"
"もっともっともっと大胆になろう (Let's go for it, more and more)"
EEEEE I always love opening up tumblr and realizing what day of the month it is from one of your fics :DD

For once I got something for Little Gui Takeover done in time for the 1st!! Based on the sun/water prompt for August. Not sure how comprehensible this one is but fuck it we ball. Huge shoutout to @sugiliteful for writing so many wonderful works involving the divine and inspiring this fic 💜
Sun Deity Guinaifen x Water Deity Reader - Soak Into My Dry, Dirty Veins
Summary: Divine cannibalism.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
"At the end of your journey, there will be nothing left of you—not even tears with which to mourn your own death."
So you were told, and yet even now, you're not quite sure what there is to mourn in the first place. Mourning is missing and missing entails a lack of something. That is not what you are experiencing.
It hurts, doesn't it?
No. It never does. If anything, this sensation would be best described as pleasurable, sick and perverse as it may sound. She knows this. She's absorbing your essence into her after all; surely that same feeling must be leaching into her? Then again, if she's still this incapable of understanding how you feel, maybe not. What a shame.
I'm sorry.
Her skin burns ever so gently, as it has every day since you met her, as you have every day underneath her gaze. You boil in return; don't be sorry. I love this. I love you. Don't be sorry.
I'm sorry.
This body of yours sinks a little deeper. The pieces of you she craves so carnally atomize upwards into her blinding light. Her halo, you find yourself thinking. A peculiar species came up with that term, you recall, although the memories of where it was born and what it means are lost to eternity. Still, you carry traces of them within you just as they once did your own traces.
They came up with many terms, several overlapping in meaning. Sun. Sol. Sole. Soleil. Sunce. Slunce. Sonne. Sinne. Szeretet. Saule. Soare. Rojus. 사랑. 天道. Wedergeboorte. Rakkaani. My undoing. All who could speak these words are gone now. Only you are here to remember, and perhaps to pass them on to her, even if it takes every last drop of you to try. No matter. She'd absorb all of you regardless eventually—all of this version of you, at least. Other planets surely still retain your essence in some capacity. It means little to you, though, when you is limited to the you that knows yourself as you. And soon that you will fail to exist at all.
This will be over soon.
She's right. Of course she is, when she's done this before so many times. You wish she wouldn't say it so morosely though; maybe she wouldn't if only you were able to show her how deeply you enjoy this ritual of hers. Maybe one day your feelings will reach her. Maybe one day.
Can you still hear me?
Yes. Why can't she do the same, though?
One last drop of you remains on this planet. A fading echo of the forests and towns that you helped give birth to, destined to die only after being left behind by your own creations and sitting alongside their corpses for millennia. Destined to be reborn anew as material to keep your beloved burning era after era. The fuel to her everglowing fire.
I love you.
But the only fuel you have left is the fantasy of telling her the same. That is what you truly mourn.
A.k.a. a writing event dedicated to Guinaifen and only Guinaifen due to the tragedy that occurred in my HSR love letter event. Anyone and everyone is free to join!!! Just be sure to include the tag #little gui takeover; that way, I can see and reblog your post accordingly 🧡
Each month until the end of 2026 will have a corresponding theme, which are listed below.
April - Tomfoolery
In honor of April Fools, this month's theme is general silly fun, whatever that means to you. Pranks, shenanigans, and general mischief are all on the table here (ФωФ)
May - Celebrity
As Little Gui's a top streamer, this month's dedicated to focusing on her chronically online side. Perhaps you can do a social media AU? Or maybe an idol AU? The choice is yours!
June - Crossover
Speaking of AUS, throw Guinaifen into whatever other fictional world suits your fancy! Of course, you can totally do it the other way around as well.
July - Modern AU
Now that we're done throwing her into fictional words, let's toss her into reality! Make her a student, teacher, or anything else that comes to mind.
August - Sun/Water
There's always a beach episode, isn't there... From a fun summer hangout to a mermaid AU, as long as it involves the sun and/or water in some way, you're good to go!
September - Soulmates
Love is in the air! And in our fics, too. This month's theme is love that's written in the stars 💫
October - Spooky Time!
Tis the season for spooks galore. Whether it's about Halloween, ghost hunting, or any other sort of terror-inflicting idea, have fun sending shivers down people's spines!
November - Doomed Love
Some things just aren't meant to be. Still, even a love destined for failure is worth experiencing, right?
December - Fluff
Well, that was a bit dark. Let's end this year and lighten the mood with something sweet instead! Anything works so long as it brings a smile to your face :)
If this sounds like something you're interested in, feel free to read below for more info!
YAY thank you for showing interest in this event!!! Here are some basic rules/clarifications.
- EVERYTHING GOES!!! No matter what kind of fics you write, no matter how much or how little writing experience you have, or how short/long your piece will be, you are welcome here. Hell, it doesn't even have to be a full fic; even a sentence or two of your thoughts/headcanons is plenty.
- There are NO hard deadlines! Feel free to submit a fic for the March prompt in December, or even years later. Guinaifen is eternal.
- Once again going to state: if you're participating, please use the tag #little gui takeover (typed the same as in this post's hashtags)! I'll be sure to reblog/give my appreciations and thoughts to every single post with it <3
If you have any questions, feel free to ask away! And if you do decide to participate, THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH!!! I will be eternally grateful for anything y'all send in and remember it forever and ever 🧡🧡🧡
You wake up in a dark, unfamiliar hallway. You don't know where to go, nor why you've got two crazed murderers gunning for your ass—but you know what you have to do.
Survive.
cw: this series contains death, murder, suicide mentions, as well as general gore/body horror
Ending 3: Darumi - No Place Like Hell
-> Masterlist here
NOTE: Endings will not make sense without the context of parts 1 through 5! If this is your first time seeing a post from this series, please make sure you start from the beginning so as to avoid confusion ^^
___________________________________
What you're about to do is wrong. Terribly, cruelly, horrendously wrong.
Even as you take a step away from the door, and then another, you find yourself shivering from that knowledge. Darumi trusted you. She put her faith in you. That's exactly why you shouldn't turn your back on whatever lies ahead, and that's exactly why you're so compelled to do just that.
What does it matter if you make it out of here? She'll be all alone just as before, isolating in her little corner, telling herself that a monster like her doesn't belong anywhere else. You'd be all alone too, not having her to share your findings with. Not having her to experience it with you. Not having her as anything other than a memory that'll fade just like your heartbeat ringing in your ears growing ever so slower and slower . Blood spills onto the floor .
"You made the right choice."
You can only hope she feels the same
.
"Eek! Some got in my mouth! It tastes like... Oh, wait. It doesn't taste like anything. Aw man! That's so lame."
You attempt to lift your head up off the ground towards the sighing girl, only to feel an absurd sensation erupt from your chest. Actually erupt, or perhaps... spurt? Forcefully, you push your eyes open. A smiling Darumi greets you.
"Oh hey, you're awake! Welcome back to the land of the unliving, we hope you enjoy your stay."
Her cheerful mannerisms blind you for a second to the oddities of her present physical state. To be concise, it's messy. Hair strands tangle within each other in odd ways, some sticking stubbornly to the edges of her cheeks—remnants of her fight earlier, if you had to guess. Her eyes keep jumping around more than usual. Most notably though, she's covered in a fuck ton of blood. Looking down, you realize you are too.
"What the hell?" Your hand reaches towards your chest and rests upon it, taking in the sensation of sticky yuckiness. And another huge blood spurt. Darumi squeals.
"Woah woah woah, it's gushing out again! This new form of yours is so awesome! Can we trade? Pretty please?"
You ignore her rapidly batting eyelids to take a look at your surroundings. Once again, you've ended up on the second floor, slotted right next to Darumi's signature corner of her and the twins' residence. Speaking of the twins, you can't help but notice Kako's eyes constantly flickering over towards you. She makes no attempt to call out, though, and neither do you. A cough catches your attention.
"So." Darumi's eyes shimmer. "Since you're back here, that means you and Hiruko had an epic battle to the death, right? Come on, spill the beans already! I want to hear every last gory detail. Every. Last. One."
"That's not..."
She flops her head to one side. "What? You don't wanna share?
"No, I..." A little embarrassed, your eyes turn downward onto your lap. "I didn't fight her."
"Oh? Oh! She snuck up behind you then?"
"That's not it either. I... I chose to stay here."
"What."
"Darumi..." You take her limp hands into your own and squeeze. "I thought about leaving. I almost did, but I couldn't leave you behind like that. You've done so much for me. You cheered me up when I was at my lowest. You protected me and gave me a chance to run away from Hiruko, even though you got hurt so much in the process. That's why I want to stay here. With you. Darumi, you of all people don't deserve to be alone."
Darumi's lips part into a tiny oval. Her hands, still encapsulated by yours, don't move an inch.
"You promised."
"I know, but—"
"Shut up!"
Darumi pulls her hands away and slaps yours as you instinctively try to reach back out before shuffling backwards. Her eyes widen. Her lips twitch. And, despite the shiver overtaking her body, all her muscles tensing and quaking in anything but rhythm; despite her breaths huffing out of her like a worn-down engine, only moments from collapsing into hot metal pieces strewn across the floor; and, of course, despite the equally warm trail of tears streaming down her cheeks, just out of reach, she cackles.
"You had a chance at freedom, and you're telling me that you threw it away? For what? For my sake? That's bullshit! Don't act like you give a shit about what's best for me. I never even wanted you to stay. I wanted you to... I wanted..."
As her lips flounder, her gaze drops down to the wound now permanently etched into your chest. She picks herself up off the ground and glares at you.
"Don't even think about following me."
You don't respond. There's no point. By the time you have the chance to form any level of coherent thought, she's already long gone, only your bleeding heart and a snarky Ima left to make a sound.
"Nice work, champ."
"Shut up."
Those words can't hold a candle to the vitriol they held in Darumi's mouth, yet you still spit them out all the same. Thankfully, Ima listens—although you suspect it may have more to do with Kako slapping his arm than anything on your end.
With nothing better to do, the three of you still remaining sit there and let time go to waste. How much? Who could say. Who cares to say. Weight presses down on your eyelids after that unknown period of time, and as before, you let them.
-
Turns out that sleep doesn't exactly come easy in a state like this, nor does it like to stay the few times you do manage to nod off successfully. You know, with the not exactly relaxing blood willing to gush out of you at any second (except when you brace in anticipation, of course). Maybe it's because of that, or maybe it's due to the blind hope that a certain someone would return to your shared residence; either way, when a few of her footsteps cautiously fill the room, you're wide awake and ready.
When your eyes meet, hers widen a little at first. Then they narrow—in warmth this time. Much more warmth than you deserve. She reaches for the door and pulls it open before looking back at you. Is she... waiting for you to follow? Not wanting to annoy her any further, you slowly get up and allow her to lead the way outside. The door clicks shut behind you two. She smiles.
"How's my favorite traitor doing?"
"Uh..." You wince and divert your gaze. "Hey. I'm really sorry about—"
"Ah ah ah. We don't have enough run time to fit in an apology scene, so skip the emotional spiel, 'kay?" Her finger hovers over your lips until she's satisfied with your silence and draws away. "Yugamu can't entertain Hiruko forever, you know."
"Hiruko? What are you... Darumi, I already told you. I'm not leaving you behind."
"I know. That's why I'm gonna be your player number two from now on!"
An awkward silence fills the space as she hits an equally awkward pose. Impersonating a character, perhaps. When you don't reward her with any response, she sighs and returns to something more natural, her eyes cautiously peering into yours.
"Okay, I'll admit. I may have been a teensy weensy bit mad at you earlier. Just a little. But, to be honest, when you told me you wanted to stay with me, it made me a little... happy. No one's ever said that to me before—at least, no one that actually meant it. But you did. That's why I want to do something for you in return. Sooooo... Let's go upstairs and face whatever's waiting for us. Together."
As the sensation of her pulling you forward and towards the next flight of stairs takes over, you quickly realize you don't have much of a say in the matter. Still, there's something on your mind, something that doesn't quite add up.
"I thought that once we turned into monsters, we couldn't leave this place? Wasn't that the whole point of me needing to escape as a human?"
"Oh, yeah, I dunno if we can pass through the final door or not. Never bothered trying before today." She continues forward, leading the way through the eerily empty third floor. "Still, we gotta try. Nothing ventured, nothing maimed!"
Her purple tendrils shudder at her words like a cat's tail (tails?). Before long, the two of you land at the top of the next set of stairs. You hear groaning from the other side—or rather, sobbing.
"Stupid Takumeat," she hisses under her breath before turning to you. "Alrighty, listen close. When I open this door, you go running for the exit. I'll deal with the oversized salami."
"But what about you?"
"Don't worry. Lil ol' Darumi's much stronger than she looks, remember? Just go on ahead and I'll follow behind shortly. Promise."
Promise, huh? The word sinks into your skin a little more rotten than you'd like, but you don't have the luxury of time to dwell on her choice of words. Almost instantly, one of Darumi's hands wraps around the doorknob and twists. She gives it a push. The door smashes into the wall behind it with a harsh clang.
"Go! Go! Go!"
With that, the door slams open and the two of you rush in, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead. Except... There aren't any. The hallway, save for you and Darumi, is completely empty. For now. All that exists to signal the presence of the anticipated enemy is a sudden flurry of thumps and cries coming from none other than his bedroom. Your companion shoots you a timid grin.
"I totally screwed that up, didn't I?"
"Yep."
The door at the end of the hallway, as if hearing its cue, swings open. An all-too-familiar lump of meat sloshes outside, although...
"He's not doing anything," you mutter. Sure enough, the thing—boy—staring straight at you doesn't move an inch. Not towards you. Not back. He just stands there, watching with an empty gaze. Perhaps that means that in his eyes, you're no longer human enough to be labeled Karua. You've yet to decide if that's a good thing or not.
"He's not doing anything yet," she corrects you. "You'll see in a second."
So she says, but she makes no move to do anything. She keeps her body aimed directly at him instead, tendrils tensed and shaping themselves into a collection of knives that would put a butcher to shame. You recall her instructions to go on ahead alone. Then...
The moment you make it to the real Karua's door, you nearly stumble to the floor from the shock of Takumi making a mad dash towards you. Before he can reach you though, your knight in shining armor comes to your rescue and slashes him away. Still, he keeps trying. You have no choice but to leave Darumi behind and trust she'll soon follow. The stairs feel like air under your feet as you rush past Karua without so much as sparing her a glance. Up and up and up until, finally, you're right back where you were just a little bit ago—only this time, you're not running away from the truth. You're here to face it, alongside the person you love.
Just as you're about to peek your head into the now ajar door and catch a glimpse into the beyond that awaits you, a shriek far sharper than any that came before it spills out. And then there are none. You try not to think about it. Instead, you focus your attention on the series of footsteps making their way up the staircase. Her footsteps.
"Darumi!" You spin around to face her. "Thank goodness you made it. I was starting to get worried—"
The world spins. The woman you'd just been looking at so excitedly now appears at a strange angle, like she's simultaneously floating above you and yet growing smaller with each passing second. The image of her glows at the edges until the light just about swallows her whole. The last thing you see is a mass of waving hands and a smile you're now realizing is the only real one you've seen since your shared reunion.
"You just got Darumi'd!"
White, blinding light overwhelms your consciousness and nips at its edges
eating away at a body you think may be your own
falling further and furthen down and away from
eating away at the mind of someone who no longer exists
I’ll be honest, the chances of Skott accepting your confession as he is within the game are somewhat slim. Not impossible, just…near-comedically difficult when he’s so fixated on the whole “lone wolf” thing. But if you were the HSR character and Skott was the player? Now we’re talking.
Skott is nothing if not pathetic, and therefore he’s still the type to work an office 9-5 (not including unpaid overtime) and give it his 110% no matter how dead-end it is (…and has been for the past few years). He wants nothing more than some steps up in the corporate ladder—or at least he did, until it became apparent seniority came first in considerations for such things. Which might have been easier to take, if he hadn’t spent so long expecting…more. Maybe it would have wore on him less quickly, too, if he hadn’t relied on it as much.
After all, his entire life up until then had revolved around a traditional career—something to make his father proud, to uphold his family name, to make his life’s purpose. Everything else was a waste of time. His interests had to serve his goal to be anything but temporary. His peers were only stepping stones to throw under when the time came or competition to knock down before it had the chance to pose a threat—as his father so loved to remind him. He didn’t think much of it as a child, taking easily to the idea if anything. Skott hadn’t regretted one bit of it until now; an adult left with next to nothing to turn to outside of work, through no fault but his own.
The days slowly but steadily turned monotonous. Eat, work, sleep on endless repeat, with maybe some time on his phone in-between; which at least became more enjoyable after downloading a gacha game out of boredom. Skott didn’t feel bad, exactly. Just…empty. Knowing he’d done everything for nothing. Rejecting that confession, declining those invitations, pouring hours into futile study, breaking that boy’s leg and carrying him all the way to the hospital to deflect the blame…all for nothing. For this poor excuse of a life. His father would die someday anyway, sooner rather than later with his health, and then who would Skott have left to impress? No one. No one but himself. Who might as well be nothing, too.
For possibly the first time in his life, Lyndon Skott felt hopeless about his own future. Though he couldn’t afford to make a habit of it, he found himself stopping by the store on the way home from work (later than he expected, again) for alcohol he knew he probably wouldn’t handle well. But that part didn’t matter. Skott just wanted to get wasted; even if he barely enjoyed it. Anything, really, to forget for a bit how stuck he was in every sense of the word. The bottle would do that, wouldn’t it?
One thing led to another, and before he knew it, Skott was doing something incredibly, uncharacteristically reckless.
Logging in to Honkai: Star Rail and pulling on the limited character banner like there was no tomorrow.
The familiar animation played over and over on the screen as Skott subjected his eyes to the blue light, glasses long since left to fend for themselves somewhere on the floor. It didn’t take long to get through his stellar jade savings, and when those went he started manually buying more with every ten-pull. Every cry of his wallet for mercy went unanswered, having been abandoned by its only god. E1. E2. E3…
The next day was an awful rush to get to work on time, so Skott didn’t have time to look into exactly how bad the situation was. He put it off for the better part of the afternoon. If he didn’t look at it, maybe it wouldn’t look at him. Or something like that, anyway.
Skott eventually did summon the courage to log in to the game again. If he were telling the story himself, he wouldn’t mention how he put a hand over the bottom half of his eyes as he viewed the log of pulls adding up to purchases. Apparently, he went all the way to getting [name]’s first four eidolons before he passed out. Which…wasn’t all that bad. His luck had been kind to him and refrained from making him lose most of the 50/50s he had to deal with, granting him some copies before hard pity too. And you were actually kind of pretty, as far as characters went—someone had clearly known what they were doing, especially with your color palette.
As the newest limited five-star, your kit had to be decent enough for now. After some material grinding, Skott admitted your playstyle happened to be one of the more enjoyable ones. It probably helped that your voicelines never grated on his ears, and it was hard not to take a liking to how your expressions had been animated. You managed to convince him to go so far as to read your character stories; and within the next few days, catch up to the main story enough to meet you there.
It was strange. As impulsive as his actions had been, life felt easier for him now, with something to go back to every day. He didn’t regret doing it, even if his budget very much tempted him the first few weeks after. There was no use crying over spilled milk; since he’d already spent some money on the game, he should keep playing. Get his bang for his buck, or however it went. If he was being honest, he’d probably just come running right back if he tried to delete his account—what other game had you, after all?

My entry for Little Gui Takeover's July prompt—Modern AU!! I wanted to write abt what I imagine she'd be like as a student :3 hope you enjoy!
Modern Guinaifen x Tutor Reader Headcanons
♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧♧
- Popular girl Gui popular girl Gui!!!
Unlike a lot of popular kid stereotypes, she really isn't mean or judgmental in any way, nor does she commit herself to any particular clique. She's literally just so freaking nice that everyone loves her! Even the teachers hold her in particularly high regard, her being eager to help run errands at a moment's notice.
- Speaking of running, she's quite the athlete. And the actor. And the barista. And just about anything else that she finds herself interested in at the moment. Oftentimes, others try to fret over her and express their concerns about her overworking herself, but she's quick to shoo away such words. Having fun is what makes life worth living, after all; why would she limit herself to only doing one or two fun things? That's just silly! So, in the end, all they can do is hold their tongue and make things easier for her in whatever ways she'll let them.
- Unfortunately, where she excels in just about every other category, she fails in academics. It's not that she doesn't care, it's just... juggling so many responsibilities inevitably means dropping the ball at some point. Between clubs, part time jobs, and being there to support and cheer on all her friends, how the heck is she supposed to find time for studying?
It doesn't help that she's never exactly been a straight A student, either. Even as a kid, most of her teachers who'd praised her used phrases such as "has great potential" before tacking on a cheeky "...just needs to apply herself more" at the end. So when she drops the ball, she drops it hard. Her run-of-the-mill test scores rapidly degrade into barely passing. But that's okay, right? As long as she doesn't actually fail, she'll be fine... right?
- Not exactly. It's true that she's fine at the moment, but midterms are coming up soon. If she fails even a single one, she's toast! Not only will her parents get super mad at her, but she'll also be barred from participating in track and field—highly problematic when a big competition's right around the corner. She's gotta get those grades up somehow! But how, exactly?
- Enter you, one of her classmates. The two of you haven't interacted much, save for a rogue group project, but she knows for a fact that your grades are infinitely better than hers. If anyone can save her sorry mess of a report card, it's you. Sure, getting on her knees and begging you to teach her your ways feels a little pathetic, but desperate times call for desperate measures, gosh dang it!
- Being her tutor is... chaotic, to say the least. She doesn't mean to show up late, nor to realize once she does arrive that she was apparently supposed to be somewhere else at the same time. Still, the first few weeks are riddled with these sorts of occurrences all the same. At least she's kind enough to try to make up for it, always bringing you a treat or a funky knick-knack she saw on the way over and thought you might like.
- Despite how much of a mess she can be, once you two are finally together, she's surprisingly good at staying on track. It's not that this is natural for her by any means—goodness knows how often you catch her staring off into space or playing with her pen—but it's the least she can do. You put in so much effort to accommodate for her screw-ups, after all; it's only right that she gives it her all when you manage to make your schedules align.
- When midterms finally start coming around, her already overwhelming levels of energy triples itself, and in the worst ways possible. Instead of directing all that focus to getting her crap together (despite trying her best to), she winds up spending it all on stressing herself out—and you too, since you're in charge of reining all this in. It's almost like taking care of a baby, honestly; look away for one second and every possible thing that could go wrong already has. There are papers on the floor, courtesy of her knocking them over; she's nursing her finger, fussing over a new paper cut, courtesy of her rushing to clean them all before you noticed what she did... In short, she's a whole mess.
- The moment of truth arrives at long last. Her eyes meet with yours one more time and her hand slowly lifts higher to give you a thumbs up before dropping, her smile coming along with it. The day passes on drearily, something you haven't experienced once since her first forceful intrusion into your daily routine. She enters your room. And then you wait.
Due to the nature of online exams, most of her scores have already been received—none exceptional, but all well within the range of passing mediocrity. This last one, though, needs a human touch to be properly graded. What's worse, this specific test belongs to her math class, the bane of her existence. How lovely. As the two of you sit and wait for her score to be uploaded, an awkward silence passes. She plays with her fingernails. Her teeth sink into her lower lip. Also, it may be your imagination, but she looks like she's blushing?
Any thoughts of yours go right down the drain in an instant as the two of you hear a familiar ping that can only mean one thing: her fate has been sealed. With squinted eyes, Gui's fingerpad presses down onto the notification, and...
- She passed!!! Hooray!!!
You don't even get the chance to congratulate her at first with how instant her impulse is to pounce on you and drag you down to the floor, but that's fine. She deserves a little leeway for her troubles.
Eventually, her head lifts off from your shoulder to make eye contact—or something like that, her eyes not quite aligning with your own. The blush you initially thought you were imagining now is making her cheeks practically glow.
"So, uh, I was thinking... Would you mind tutoring me next semester too?"
It's time for July's Little Gui Takeover fic~! Since the theme is a Modern AU, I had two ideas for this~! The first was a prequel to the celebrity fic I made in May (which may be about the reader confessing to Guinaifen) and of course, the one I mentioned back in June which was...Ride Kamens~! Ride Kamens is a spin-off of the Kamen Rider series, and since I've been obsessed with it thanks to my sister, I really wanted to make Guinaifen a Kamen Rider!
Now I'm gonna be honest- this fic was a pain in the butt to write- I had SO many conflicting ideas for this idea that it was REALLY hard to write this- There were so many floof and angst fic ideas that could work with Guinaifen and Ride Kamens that I had to take multiple steps back and go back to the drawing board- the finished fic is a mixture of my original idea but with some improvements, so I hope it's cute! Plus, Guinaifen's lore works REALLY well with the lore of Ride Kamens so it added to the huge pile of ideas lol- as I started writing this fic, I kinda realized that...well..this might not fit for the Modern prompt, but uh- it's fine! I mean...Ride Kamens is placed in a modern city, so it's fine! Ahahahaha-
Anyways, hope you all enjoy!
Once again, special thanks to @angeliteeyes for making this event!
Guinaifen x Gender-Neutral Reader
Synopsis: Being a streamer and a hero is hard!
An unknown threat lurks within Nijigao City. Here, monsters terrorize the innocent as a band of heroes attempt to save the day. These heroes...are the Kamen Riders! Together, they vow to protect the world from the enemy known as Chaosism!
And Guinaifen was one of them.
Like the other Kamen Riders, Guinaifen had been kidnapped by Chaosism and was taken to the Rider Academy, a school to train and brainwash people into becoming their soldiers known as Chaos Riders. Thankfully, Guinaifen and her friends were able to break free and protect this city using the powers they had obtained!
And like most heroes, it's important to keep their identities a secret!
...well...
"And welcome back to another round of Little Gui's stream! Today, we've got a special guest joining us!"
"Hi everyone!" the bright and cheery red headed young adult with an average build waved towards the camera. "I'm Iori Haruma! Thanks for having me here!"
When it comes to Guinaifen, streaming is her calling! Sure, this may be a bad idea if people connect the dots, but who's gonna believe this adorable and cute streamer is actually a super hero? Just let her have her fun! She's got this in the bag~!
"Today-!" the duo panned out, allowing the camera to take in the colorful pastel diner in the back, its squirrel mascot standing tall and inviting while taking a big bite of a burger. "We're trying out this new diner that just opened!"
"And guess what!" Guinaifen smirked, tightly gripping the selfie stick. "We've got a friend who works here, and they've agreed to let us in before opening day! We'll be giving you an exclusive look at-!"
An alert was sent to both Guinaifen and Haruma's phones. Their eyes widened once they saw the message as Haruma quickly grabbed the selfie stick. "Sorry guys, but we've gotta end it early! I uh- I got a job to do-!" sweat trickled down Haruma's face as he glanced left and right.
"For the Kamen Rider Shop?" Guinaifen quickly nodded along. "Sorry everyone, we'll try again tomorrow!"
"Don't forget to come down and see us!"
And just like that, the friends ended the stream without hesitation. Haruma sighed, placing a hand over his heart, "Sorry about that, Guinaifen..."
"It's fine, it happens!" Guinaifen awkwardly chuckled. "I mean, we're Kamen Riders! Stuff like this happens! We can always try later!"
"Yeah, now let's go! Someone could get hurt!"
Scattered around Nijigao City are shiny gems known as Chaostones, allowing the Kamen Riders to transform. Due to their training, Guinaifen and her friends are able to retrieve these stones without suffering any consequences.
But if it's a regular civilian...
You're sucked into a dream that shows your deepest desires.
In order to prevent Chaosism from gaining more power through these stones and to protect people, it's the job of these Kamens Riders to collect these stones and save anyone who's trapped inside!
So what's your desire?
"Hey Gui, what do you think about these clothes?"
"Eh...they're a bit too plain, especially for you. You'd look a lot better in some cute and bright colors!"
"You think so?"
"Duh! Because you're so cute and bubbly! Everyone needs to see how adorable you are!"
You couldn't help but blush and pout as Guinevere pinched your cheeks as she smiled at you. "Stooooop!!!" you huffed as you attempted to break free. "I'm not a kid!"
"But you're still as cute as the day I met you!"
Ah...how you missed these moments...you truly do miss Guinevere so much. How long has it been since you last saw her? Weeks? Months? You couldn't recall.
But it doesn't matter right now.
She's right here.
Her bubbly smile.
Her flowing lava hair.
The adorable outfits she could scramble together in just a few seconds.
That energetic personality that made you want to tell her everything.
She'll never leave again. Isn't that the best?
"Stop-!"
Both you and Guinevere almost jumped off of the park bench, quickly turning to spot two more bubbly red figures dashing towards you while dressed in the classic black robes depicted within a magic school. Haruma caught his breath, wiping the sweat off of his brow as Guinaifen-
Wait- Gui?!
"Guinaifen!" Haruma couldn't help but shout. "Look! There's another you!"
Guinaifen's eyes widened, eyeing the clone in baggy clothes. "She...she looks exactly like me! I mean, it's a Chaos World, but-!"
"Who are you?" Guinevere got off the bench, glaring at the two intruders.
"Gui..?" you couldn't help but glance at both Guinaifen and Guinevere. "What's...going on...?"
"(Y/N)," Guinevere hissed. "Run. Now."
"But-"
"I said now!"
"Hang on!" Haruma shouted. "We'll help you in a second!"
"You two," Guinevere spoke once more. "You're here to interrupt (Y/N)'s dream, aren't you?"
"Dream...?" Guinaifen questioned.
Guinevere sniffled, wiping her tears with her sleeve. "After being separated for so long...we finally got to see each other again...I won't let you tear us apart! Not again!"
"Then...are you..." you winced, glancing towards Guinaifen. "Are...you the real Gui...?"
"H-huh?!"
With a deep breath, you stood out of your seat. "Gui...that's you...right?" you asked with a heavy heart, taking small steps towards the two. "I...I've been searching for you for so long...ever since you disappeared, everything fell apart...but...you're here now, right..?"
"U-um-"
"Please...let's go home together...okay?"
"I'm really sorry...but..." Haruma glanced towards Guinaifen, her eyes filled with sorrow as she spoke the words you never wanted to hear.
This is so insanely good!! Even without knowing anything about Ride Kamens before reading this, your writing made it easy to get the gist of it and get immersed into the story. The transition between viewpoints was done super well too! And the ending... AAAAAA
Thank you again for participating and blessing us with your wonderful works ❤️❤️❤️
Y'kbiw i was just thinking about the tailor reader x T.Herta. And I remembered that T.Herta can't cook for shit so I imagine that the reader would do most of the cooking (I imagine they're cooking is as good as their tailoring skills)
Now I can't stop imagining the Herta puppets finding out about that and having a little intervention with T.Herta asking for taste buds or something
Awww oh my gosh they would get so whiny about that once they realize!! It doesn't help that T.Herta is probably feeling too jealous of her little spawns to show them kindness at first, instead using this as an opportunity to rub it in their faces how special your bond with one another is.
Of course, eventually you catch wind of this and stand up for the poor things, much to her annoyance. And now they're the ones bragging. Stupid dolls really oughta know their place...

Guinaifen heads to a special funeral parlor to film an ad.
The Day of Filming
Guinaifen swung her bag around, skipping along her way across the Xianzhou Luofu, mouthing out words like “buy one get one free coffin”, “speed burials”, and other related terms while twisting and turning through the crowds trying to get to wherever they were. She was surprised that no one had recognized her as the famous livestreamer that she was, and all it took was simply wearing a uniform courtesy of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, which she found herself in front of by the time she looked up from her phone.
She strutted right in to find the directors Hu Tao and Zhongli sitting in the lobby, with Hu Tao crawling over the latter as if Zhongli were her dad. But the sound of Guinaifen opening the door immediately caught their attention and Hu Tao jumped towards her, buzzing with even more energy. “Finally, you’re here! Come on, let’s go make some great advertising. Oh, and Sushang and Huohuo are already downstairs.” Guinaifen couldn’t even say anything before she found herself dragged to the basement of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor where they kept all the bodies. Either to be embalmed, or to be burned.
Hu Tao and Guinaifen arrived in front of a slightly-less-excited Sushang and a terrified Huohuo, who’s Mr. Tail was busy playing with Hu Tao’s own Boo. “Sorry I’m late, guys!” Guinaifen apologized. “Took you long enough, Gui,” Sushang shot back. “Well, let’s get to shooting?” she continued, tapping Huohuo and gesturing to her to get up. Huohuo stood up timidly, managing to say, “Can we please make this quick? This place scares me.”
Hu Tao laughed. “Come on, what’s so scary of dead bodies? What are they gonna do to you, come to life? That’s not possible right- wait, that’s not possible, right?” Hu Tao looked at Guinaifen for confirmation, to which she only shrugged. “Well, who’s to say?”
Sushang laughed. “Come on, Huohuo, Hu’s just messing with you. Let’s get to work!” Sushang lifted her up towards Guinaifen, taking out a tripod and a flashlight from her bag. The quivering Huohuo looked behind towards her Mr. Tail, as if to ask him to help her out.
“Aw, looks like your friend is already acquainted with my Boo over there! Look at them having fun. Just two kids at the end of the day,” Hu Tao remarked, making sure Huohuo could hear her.
“I’M NOT A KID!!!” Mr. Tail yelled out.
“Alright, let’s get to work!” Guinaifen shouted, looking at a Sushang dragging Huohuo to the cameras.
One Week Later
“I am sure you are aware why I have called in the two of you,” Zhongli said, with a TV screen behind him. Hu Tao and Guinaifen tried to look confident in front of the actual boss of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor – the distinguished Zhongli. “It has come to my attention that you, along with some of your friends, Guinaifen, have filmed an advertisement for our funeral parlor in the basement – which as you are now aware, is filled with dead bodies.”
“OK, come on boss, everyone knows we keep the bodies down there! It’s common sense!” said Hu Tao. “But we get it, we won’t film down there again, it’s alright, can we go now?” Hu Tao continued, gesturing to Guinaifen to get up and get out.
“Not quite, there is still more,” Zhongli continued, his voice now firm. He grabbed the TV remote and scrolled through the ad, quickly stopping at a section depicting a Huohuo and Sushang walking in a street, only for them to suddenly blow up as if they stepped on a mine. Immediately after that, the cheery voice of Hu Tao said over the now frozen video, “You never know when you could die!”
“It’s the truth!” the Hu Tao of reality exclaimed in response to the ad. Guinaifen nodded in agreement, adding, “So, what did you think of the explosion effect? I think it went well, but if that’s the issue, then I can get another one of my friends to redo it.”
“You two are not getting it, are you?” Zhongli sighed in exasperation, as he fast-forwarded through the ad, depicting Hu Tao in the basement of the funeral parlor, excitedly saying, “And don’t worry! For those who have other matters to attend to in the day, our burials are so quick that it’ll be no issue at all!”
“Wait, I thought we deleted that?” Hu Tao asked. “That was a joke! We don’t actually do speed burials.”
“Oh, what?! Whoops, I thought that’d be a thing you do, Hu Tao!” Guinaifen replied. “No no no, we gotta give each body its appropriate time before it’s ready to go out there in a coffin,” Hu Tao replied.
“I am glad we have an agreement over something, at least. Speaking of coffins…” Zhongli said, before trailing off as he further scrolled through the ad, reaching the end with Guinaifen, Sushang, Huohuo, “Boo Tao” and Mr. Tail roughing with each other, as Hu Tao stood in front of the camera, cheerily announcing, “So what are you waiting for? Head on over to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor right here in Xianzhou, and if you decide to book a funeral within 48 hours, you’ll get an extra coffin, completely free of charge! Just for those unexpected moments!” Zhongli turned off the TV. “I think we have seen enough, and that we can make the conclusion not to air this ad,” he dryly said.
Guinaifen groaned. “But we spent so much time on this ad!”
“Yes, an ad which contains multiple pieces of false information regarding what we do here and begins with a child being blown up by what appears to be a landmine as your launchpad into your main points of why people should go to us. Novel, yes. Accurate? No,” Zhongli continued. “And you, Hu Tao. I thought I had already told you not to try pulling off this stunt again.”
“Wait, what?!” Guinaifen quickly turned to Hu Tao, who had already begun explaining herself. “I thought the problem was that it looked bad! Okay, I was really only using my phone as the camera and microphone, and I had no idea how to use the video editing software-”
“So that is where our money went. The one labeled “business expense” with no further explanation. Do you know anything about that, Hu Tao?” Zhongli asked, staring straight into her soul.
Hu Tao paused, processing what she just said. She slammed her face with her hands as she realized she had just given herself away. “Look, we can use that editor for our other ads! It really is a business expense!”
Zhongli nodded. “I’ve heard enough. You can go,” gesturing to the door, to which Hu Tao immediately ran out of. Zhongli then turned his attention to the other fiery girl that he had largely ignored. “I am sure you already noticed, but Hu Tao is a genuinely good girl. If I did not like her, I could have found another successor. Please do not take this the wrong way.”
“Thanks. So, um… what happens to me?” Guinaifen asked.
“Nothing, besides the fact that we are still not going to air the ad you made, for reasons which have already been stated between the two of you just now.”
“That’s fair.”
“But you can stop by some other time. It does not hurt for Hu Tao to have more friends – not that that is a problem for her, she is quite the… social butterfly,” Zhongli continued.
“Yeah, I sure can tell,” Guinaifen responded, unsure.
Zhongli smiled. “Alright, Miss Guinaifen, you can be on your way now.”
“Thanks!” Guinaifen said, as she walked to the doors leading outside the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. Zhongli grabbed a piece of paper and pen, and wrote on it:
NOTE: MAKE A PROPER AD WITH MISS GUINAIFEN AND HER FRIENDS
Notes
And this is my first submission for the Little Gui Takeover! When I saw that June was for AUs, I immediately knew I wanted to have Guinaifen team up with Hu Tao for some novel marketing. The ad itself was inspired by the ad seen in Ruben Östlund's The Square because I am that kind of person.
I hope it went well. I basically did zero research on Guinaifen or her friends on the Star Rail wiki, primarily using my memory from the events she's been in so far. I also didn't really proofread this because I wanted to get this out as fast as I could. I hate that last line because I feel it could be a lot more powerful, but I just can't think of anything else for now.
But it was pretty fun to have something I could write fanfics for with a deadline! Even if I was basically two weeks late to it. I hope I can write more for the Little Gui Takeover in time! I already have an idea for the doomed love one and July's theme.
OH MY GOSH!!! This was such a fun surprise to see in the little gui takeover tag. Thank you SO much for participating!! <3 <3 <3 Also there is no such thing as being late for this event, do not worry. I'm literally still working on a past month's prompt myself lmao
This is so neat and silly eeee I love love love the idea of Guinaifen and Hu Tao hanging out together! They're both such high energy gals in their own fun n unique ways :D
Super looking forward to any and all future Gui fics you write!!!
Heheh... So the scene in Re;Birth3 where Noire is shown tending to a bunch of stray cats got me thinking...
Noire x Cat Hybrid Reader Headcanons
♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤♤
- Noire's always adored cats, and especially the poor little strays that rely on her edible patronage. So, naturally, when she spots a fresh face in the crowd of hungry kitties staring at her wide-eyed and stumbling closer with a limp, her immediate instinct is to rush the poor thing to the vet. They aren't open yet, though, so she has to settle for bringing her new cat friend home and offering them some much-needed shelter for the time being. That's all well and good, except...
- Why the heck is there a stranger in her home?!
That's the first thought that crosses her mind the next morning, but it's not long before the sight of a familiar pair of cat ears and tail gets her mind jogging. Now that she's thinking about it, hasn't she seen this sort of thing before in some of her games? A kind soul takes in a poor stray, only to wake up and find that they're actually half-cat and half-human. The hybrid then is so thankful for their selfless act that they swear their undying loyalty to them and soon, they fall in love with each other!!!
Well, that's how it usually goes in her games. In reality, you're simply trying to express your gratitude for her kindness, but she's too lost in la-la land to realize that.
- There is one part of this situation that matches up perfectly with her fantasies, though: your leg injury means you'll have a hard time living the stray lifestyle you're accustomed to and, as such, you'll need to live with her for the time being. Or forever. Who knows what the future has in store for you two!
- The typical tsundere attitude Noire's so well known for is practically nonexistent when it comes to you. You're just so sweet and fluffy that she couldn't turn away your affection even if she tried! And, of course, she's more than happy to shower you with her own—maybe too much so. Even if you're very obviously just as intelligent and capable of independence as any normal person, her brain's still stuck on cat-mama mode, and your injury certainly doesn't help that fact. Expect copious amounts of tuna (or whatever else you're fond of eating) for the foreseeable future.
- Unfortunately, she's still quite a bit on the shy side, struggling to fully express the extent of her feelings for you. As such, acts of service quickly become her go-to love language while more emotionally vulnerable kinds get left by the wayside. You two struggle to so much as hold a conversation without her voice awkwardly trailing off or her outright running away, claiming she's busy with work or some other excuse.
- If you wish to grow closer to her despite that shyness, though, you're in luck! As much as she tries holding herself back from initiating physical contact at the start of your time together, the moment you pull something like laying your head on her lap or nuzzling it into her, all that self-control wilts away into nothingness and BAM!!! Now you're stuck there for an hour as she relentlessly pets the crap out of you and praises how soft your fur is.
A similar phenomenon occurs with sweet-talking her. Like I said before, she couldn't turn away your affection even if she tried—which is good, because she really doesn't care to try in the first place.
- As time goes on and you two begin incorporating one another into your daily lives, you find yourself more and more morphing into a living pillow for her to snuggle and hold onto after the hell that is being Lastation's CPU day after day. It's just so exhausting being one of the only responsible ones around! And there's been so much work lately...
Thankfully, for all her grumbling about every little thing that bothered her on that particular day, it's really not that difficult to get her mood up. All you gotta do is throw in some understanding words to help her feel heard—and of course, continue being your cute, fluffy self.
- Sleeping in the same bed is a must!!! Nothing quite helps her let her hair down like cuddling with you does, after all. This works both in your humanoid form and your cat form. The former offers more warmth by nature of there being, well, more of you, but the latter opens the door to plenty of new sleeping positions; you could wrap around her head, lie on her stomach—or better yet, her chest... Plenty of options!
- When the other CPUs catch wind of your existence and start teasing her about it, you may expect her to get all flustered and shy about it. To your credit, you'd be half right. However, despite her blushing and inability to handle PDA around the others, there's one thing that empowers her enough to overcome her embarrassment: the fact that everyone else is too much of a shut-in to have a partner themself.
So, yeah. While they can tease her all they want, at the end of the day, she always gets the upper hand in any conversation. So what if she's a "simp" as Neptune likes to put it? At least she's got a partner to simp for in the first place!
- With that said, she'll absolutely lose her shit if one of the other gals gets overly friendly with you, even if it's something as simple as petting you while in cat form. They can't do that to you! Only she can, gosh dang it!!! As such, it's probably for the best that you gently turn the other's affections down. The last thing you need is a pouty Noire hmphing at you the rest of the day until you apologize and make it up to her.
If you do ever make this mistake, though, it's okay. Just use your kitty charms on her once more and she'll be back to normal in no time <3
Once again, another submission for Little Gui Takeover cause this event is VERY fun!!!!!!!!!! I already did a June prompt, but...like...well...the Madoka Magica au has been stuck in the back of my mind for a while and I lowkey regret not writing any Guishang stuff for pride month, soooo for the last day of pride month, have some magical girl Guishang~!
Once again, special thanks to @angeliteeyes for making this event!
...I guess you guys might know what I'll write for the July prompt-
Guinaifen x Li Sushang
Synopsis: Won't you become a magical girl?
"I want you to form a contract with me."
Straightforward as always...well...that's Kyubey, the ally to all magical girls.
Li Sushang was used to this manner. After all, she had been a "veteran" magical girl for a whole year.
As for Guinaifen...this is her first time seeing it face to face.
"A...magical girl...?" Guinaifen stammered, her eyes focused on the cat-like creature that continued to be a statue on her desk.
"Correct. You have a lot of potential, Guinaifen. Isn't that right, Sushang?"
"H-huh?" Li Sushang blinked, taking her eyes off of her closest friend. "U-uh..well...yeah...!"
"Shangshang...?"
"If you make a contract with me," the creature continued. "Then I can grant any wish you would like. All you have to do is fight these beings called Witches."
"They're monsters that try to hurt people," Sushang merely explained. "And I've...I've been fighting them for a whole year."
Guinaifen gently grasped Sushang's hand. "So...this is what you've been doing behind my back?"
"I'm sorry..." Sushang sniffled. "I wanted to keep it a secret...it's really dangerous and scary, so I didn't want to drag you into it..."
Guinaifen merely nodded, gently pulling her friend into a hug. "No, I understand. Don't worry, I'm not mad."
"Are you sure...?"
"No, I'm not. Besides, you're finally doing what you want to do, right Shangshang? Being a hero!"
Li Sushang couldn't help but chuckle at her words. "I mean...well...yeah, that's true!"
"You're doing great, Shangshang. I'm really proud of you."
The two girls continued to hug within Guinaifen's well-lit organized room, sharing their moment as Kyubey continued to stare. "I don't mean to interrupt," he spoke, finally moving a paw towards Guinaifen's keyboard. "But it would be really helpful if you became a magical girl. You can fight alongside your friend."
"Nah!"
"No?"
"...huh?!"
"I won't become a magical girl!" Guinaifen giggled, glancing towards Kyubey. "Honestly, I don't really have a wish I want granted right now. I'm fine where I am! Yeah, I know it'd help a lot of people, but fighting really isn't my style...real life isn't the same as games, and you only have one life!" Guinaifen sighed as she gazed towards Sushang. "Sorry Shangshang, but I'm not gonna become a magical girl."
"...yeah...that's fine!" Li Sushang released a large sigh, giving her friend her biggest smile. "It's fine, don't worry! It's really dangerous, plus I'm really strong!" Li Sushang flexed her biceps. "I've been doing this for a year!"
"Isn't that the second time you've bragged about it today?"
"What?! I'm really proud of it!"
The two girls shared a laughter as Kyubey hopped off of her desk. "Well then, let me know if you change your mind."
As Kyubey left, Li Sushang couldn't help but feel...grateful.
She sacrificed so much so Guinaifen could get here.
She won't let her get hurt. No matter what it takes.
A.k.a. a writing event dedicated to Guinaifen and only Guinaifen due to the tragedy that occurred in my HSR love letter event. Anyone and everyone is free to join!!! Just be sure to include the tag #little gui takeover; that way, I can see and reblog your post accordingly 🧡
Each month until the end of 2026 will have a corresponding theme, which are listed below.

My entry for Little Gui Takeover's May prompt — Celebrity! Don't look at the date shhh shhh shhh
Poly??? Except only you and Gui are actually in a relationship and this gremlin's just trying reallyyyy hard to claw her way in. Let's see if she succeeds!
Guinaifen x Reader x ...Sparxie?! - Collab
♧◇♧◇♧◇♧◇♧◇♧◇
"You look like a shrimp."
Her spine snaps straight up as your fingers wrap around her shoulders. It's not the first time you've caught her slumping over her desk in this manner; in fact, if you had to guess, you'd say this is the... third time today correcting her posture? Fourth? Too many, that's for sure. You sigh.
"What's been up with you lately?" Slowly, your eyes scan over the various numbers coating her laptop screen. The same goes for the similarly populous graphs. "Is this your streaming data?"
"Hey, don't look! It's embarrassing..."
She lets out a sigh as both of your gazes lock onto the right side of a particular graph—her viewership. It doesn't take a genius to see why its line, dropping ever lower with each passing week, troubles her so deeply.
"I just don't get it! I'm following all the trends, and I even came up with one of my own that went crazy viral. But my views are still dropping each stream... I'm not falling off, am I?!"
"No, you're not falling off, Gui. I'm sure there's some other explanation. Oh! I bet it has something to do with that other chick that blew up recently. What was her name again? Sporky?"
"Sparxie!" Guinaifen jumps up, nearly knocking you over. "That's totally it! Ever since those Phantasmoon Games started, she's been popping off like crazy and stealing all my hard-earned fans. I don't get it. Her content isn't even that good! I mean, it's not awful—oh, what am I doing, praising my arch nemesis like that?!"
As Guinaifen is busy working herself up into a rage and stomping around the room, you lower yourself down into her chair and give the mouse a few clicks. Honestly, you're much too loyal a fan/partner to pay any mind to other streamers, so you've yet to watch any of Sparxie's streams. It appears she's live right now, though. May as well see what all the hype is about. Your index finger pushes down.
"What's up guys? It's your one and only number one favorite streamer in the whole wide world, Sparxicle!"
"Oh gosh, now I'm hallucinating her too?!"
"No, Gui. It's just a stream." With a sigh, you tug at a panicked Gui's wrist and bring her closer. Sparxie, in the meantime, wobbles around like an oversized bobblehead. She even blows a kiss at the screen. You squint. "Is she trying to act cute?"
"Don't fall for her tricks! It's all an evil hoax to make her fans super parasocial about her."
"I won't, don't worry. After all..." Another tug, only harder. Her face zooms right in front of yours. "I've already got the cutest streamer right here."
Her eyes widen before rapidly blinking open and shut in embarrassment, her lips equally uncommitted to any particular position as she struggles between smiling and letting out a soft, adorable giggle. You inch closer until your lips connect, and all of a sudden, she knows exactly what to do with them. Maybe too much so. In the heat of entwining yourselves together, you hear a faint series of clicks and clacks. And then a gasp.
"Oh my, that username... I had no idea Little Gui was a fan of Sparxicle too!"
The two of you draw away from each other to stare wide-eyed at the computer screen. Shit. Did you really accidentally type something in her chat? And by the sound of things, Sparxie is more than happy to publicly dwell on your mistake. She beams at her camera.
"You know, I've been thinking. All this time of being a streamer, and yet I've never done a collab with another creator. We should change that! What do you say, Little Gui?"
"...WHAT?!"
-
So, yeah. Here you two are in Planarcadia, lost in the middle of Aeons knows where and trying desperately to make yourselves not so. Funny. Despite your current predicament, you distinctly recall a certain planet hopper proudly proclaiming that she's "got you, fam" and to simply relax as she leads the way.
"Hey, Gui?"
"Don't tell me... We've already been here?"
"About three times now, yeah."
"Darn it!" She groans and throws herself onto the floor. You kneel down and gently rub her back. Her face turns up towards you, puppy-eyed and tearful. "I'm sorry. I really am good with directions, I swear! It's just—I'm freaking the hell out, okay?! We're going to see the real life Sparxie. Sparxie!"
"I thought you didn't like her."
"I don't, but you gotta understand. This. Is. Huge. Do you have any idea how many people are going to be watching this stream?" Her hands clench onto your shoulders and shake you around. "Messing this up is basically career suicide!"
"Well, yeah, but you're not going to mess up, okay? You'll be just fine." You press a kiss into her forehead. "Relax."
Her facial muscles warp between tension and release as she processes your comfort before completely giving into it. A moment passes in silence, save for the ambience of the city. Finally, she exhales and jumps upright once more. She throws you a wink and a thumbs-up.
"Alright, enough loafing around. Let your handy-dandy travel guide lead the way!"
"Even though this 'handy-dandy travel guide' is half an hour late?"
Guinaifen squeals and runs behind you—muscle memory from your many ghost hunting adventures—before letting out a gasp of dread-filled recognition. Sure enough, the lady standing before you is none other than Sparxie herself. She beams a bright smile at the two of you. The sharp, repetitious thudding of her shoes against the ground, though, tells another story.
"Aw, don't look so frightened. I'm just teasing. It really is lovely to see you, Little Gui—and you too, uh..." She eyes you up and down. "Who might you be?"
"Oh." You flush, realizing Guinaifen must have forgotten to mention you. That scatterbrain. "I'm her partner. It's a pleasure to meet you, Sparxie."
"Her partner, huh?" She hums. You swear you see her eyes shine with a dark glint; at least, you do for a second before her cheery persona retakes the stage. "The pleasure's all mine. Now, shall we head off? Not to rush, but we don't exactly have much time, since... you know."
"Shoot, you're right! I'm really sorry for causing so much trouble." Gui clasps her hands together. Sparxie merely nods in response before turning her back and walking forward. Not for long, though. After a brief moment of stillness, her head spins back towards you two.
"Oh, and by the way... Little Gui, you should really consider getting into acting. It takes skill to act so friendly with someone you dislike so much. Trust me. I would know."
Today's going to be a long day.
-
"And three... two..."
Hushed chattering fills the room despite them all receiving very clear instructions to pipe down mere moments prior. You suppose it's only fair; if you were graced with the presence of a local legend such as Sparxie—at your own school, no less—you'd have a pretty hard time keeping things together too. Thankfully, the woman in question seems to pay the rowdy crowd no mind. Guinaifen, on the other hand... You're just thankful she's still standing, given how hard her legs are shaking.
"One. Hello my lovely, loyal fans! Welcome to the stream. Today we have a very special guest from the Xianzhou who's traveled all this way just to entertain you. Isn't that right, Little Gui?"
"Th-th-that's right!" She sputters out. "Here to, uh... entertain you all. Yup."
All of a sudden, Sparxie reaches up and grasps Guinaifen's chin, raising it higher and provoking a flood of squeals from the people surrounding you, as well as some interesting commentary that they'd "kill to be touched by Sparxie like that" or how they "would never wash their face again" if they were in Gui's place. A person not too far from you collapses to the ground. Their nose is bleeding.
"Don't tell me you're getting camera shy?" Sparxie pouts and bats her eyes at her fellow entertainer. "You poor thing. You must not be used to having this many eyes on you all at once."
Guinaifen smiles and laughs in response, but even from here, you can see her eyebrow twitching in barely contained disdain. The rest of the audience pays no mind to your partner's frustration, though. Is that a good thing? Either way, after a few more moments of bickering disguised as niceties, the show continues on. Sparxie grabs the other's arm and leads her towards a thin rope dangling in mid-air.
"Now then, onto our first act of the day! Prepare to be amazed as our darling Guinaifen braves the trials of the tightrope."
"What?! But you told me earlier—"
"Hm? You say something?"
"You told me we were going to—" Gui sighs. "Never mind... Tightrope it is. No biggie. It's just walking. I can totally do that, no problemo."
"That's the spirit! Now hurry on up and give us a show, why don't you?"
The crowd cheers louder as a visibly shaking Guinaifen makes her way up towards the attraction. Sparxie wastes no time in joining in on the cheering herself, although the look on her face makes it hard to believe that her eagerness is anywhere near as purehearted as the others'. After a moment, she clears her throat.
"While she's getting started, I think it's only right to express my appreciation for all of you. Really, the fact that you're all here, watching and cheering me—I mean, us—on..." She lets out the fakest sob you've ever heard in your life and smiles softly. "It brings a tear to my eye. As such, it's only right that you get some appreciation back. Wouldn't you agree?"
That seems to be all it takes for the entirety of the audience to forget about Guinaifen's performance—save for yourself, of course. No wonder she was so terrified of you getting sucked in by this chick's cutesy facade. Everyone else is falling for it hook, line, and sinker. As Gui takes her first step forward, Sparxie continues stealing the spotlight.
"I'm glad we're all on the same page. As a token of my love for you all, one lucky person in the audience is going to get a very, very special reward. And that person is..."
A foreboding feeling of dread seeps into your stomach. Somehow, well before looking forward and seeing the target of Sparxie's pointed finger, you already know exactly who it's pointed at.
"You!"
The people surrounding you let out exaggerated gasps and turn to stare at you. Some appear excited on your behalf. Some gazes fit squarely into the "if looks could kill" category. None of them come even close to the terror induced by Sparxie's, though, her red eyes suddenly feeling far too reminiscent of an animal on the hunt for your liking.
"Don't be shy. Come on up. This is your reward for being such a devoted fan of yours truly."
Hands shove you forward, forcing you to stop delaying the inevitable. You walk into the beast's domain. She smiles, gripping you tightly within her claws.
"Good. Now, you're all probably dying to know what this special reward is, hm? Don't worry. I'll tell you. This lucky fan is going to receive... a kiss on the cheek!"
A flash of orange wobbles violently side to side in the corner of your vision. You watch in horror as your lover's ankles nearly cross over one another, one misstep away from tumbling onto the ground and destroying any sense of pride she possibly could have left in her. She watches back. The two of you exchange silent screams with each other until, finally, your worried expression convinces her to return her attention back to the tightrope. Her balance stabilizes. For now.
"Are you guys jealous?" Sparxie winks. "Don't be. From now on, every stream of mine with a live audience will have one lucky winner at the end! So be sure to keep showing up and giving me your love and support, okay?"
Her words help alleviate the bloodlust being sent your way, but not for long. As soon as her body starts turning towards you and her face begins to lean closer and closer to your skin, all eyes are back on you. Your heart races.
"Here you go. Your special reward..."
"Look out!"
A voice calls out from above just before her lips can press into you. Sparxie looks up at it, first with annoyance. And then with horror.
The crowd harmonizes to create one deafening gasp. No matter which of the streamers they've sworn their undying loyalty to, every single person in the area's eyes are now equally drawn to both of them, tangled together and unmoving.
"Are they..."
"No way..."
"They're..."
"Kissing?!"
The two girls remain in shock for a few more moments, processing their bodies' positioning with respect to one another. Sure enough, Gui somehow managed to not only fall all the way down from her tightrope, but also aimed her body perfectly to fall right on top of Sparxie, and with the way the latter turned to see what all the commotion was about... Their brain cells kick into full gear and they rush to push each other away, but it does little to change the fact that they did, indeed, kiss. They also did, indeed, kiss both in a very public space and on a very screenshottable livestream.
"Oh my gosh, I totally ship it!"
"Just get married already!"
"Do they have a ship name? We need to come up with one, stat!"
While the two entertainers continue questioning every decision they've made that led up to this point, the fans go wild with excitement, showing off their phone screens to the unlucky few who failed to capture a photo of the fateful moment themselves.
"Um... Gui?" You lean down and poke your partner's cheek. "You okay?"
"Of course I'm not okay! I can't believe I just did that. All that time I was up there, I kept thinking 'don't fall, don't fall' and what did I do? Fall! Stupid stupid stupid..."
Gui's so distracted with berating herself that she misses seeing Sparxie move in on her at first. When she does notice, her eyes widen. "I'm so, so sorry! Please forgive me!"
"Hm." Sparxie's tongue clicks. "You don't sound all that sorry to me."
"I am, really!"
"Is that so? Then are you willing to prove it?"
"Yes! I'll do anything to make this up to you, I swear."
Sparxie pauses and ponders over Guinaifen's words, or at least pretends to. Maybe it's just your imagination, but something tells you she's merely dragging out poor Gui's psychological torture—a tactic that's clearly working all too well, given how your girlfriend's on the brink of bursting into tears. Thankfully, her cruelty eventually reaches its limit.
"Well, as you know, it's a streamer's responsibility to give the fans what they ask for, and due to your... little stunt back there, their hearts are now dead set on seeing more content of the two of us together. I know we planned on this being a one time thing, but you wouldn't want to disappoint the fans, would you?" Her hands reach outward and curl around the sides of Guinaifen's face.

I am once again participating in another round of Little Gui Takeover~! I'll be writing for the June prompt this time which is about a crossover! To be honest, I've had a BUNCH of ideas on what to write for this crossover event, and the main ones I settled on are these three!
The reader introduces Guinaifen to the world of Sanrio and meets Hangyodon, a Sanrio character who wants to be an awesome comedian! I thought about this cause I thought Guinaifen and Hangyodon would get along great! Or the reader gives Guinaifen some Hangyodon merch and watches some of the Hangyodon animes with her cause that'd be a cute date idea-!
The second idea is...well...magical girl Gui~! Why? Cause why not! I adore magical girls, so why not! As for which magical girl series I'm choosing...it's Madoka Magica~! Little Gui made a contract with Kyubey and is now a magical girl~!
And the third idea is part of my Ride Kamens OC obsession! Aka making Little Gui into a Kamen Rider and drop her into the world of Ride Kamens where she assists the reader/player in defeating an evil organization known as Chaosism! Why? Cause I have a huge obsession with making Ride Kamens OCs.
In the end, I chose Hangyodon cause- well- he loves to make jokes and make people smile! And that would pair SO well with Guinaifen! I may explore these other ideas in the future though!
Also, I took a lot of inspiration for this from the Hangyodon OVAs which are on YouTube!
Now without further ado, let's start the fic! Hope everyone enjoys!
Here's a link to the Little Gui Takeover prompt if anyone is interested!
Once again, huge special thanks to @angeliteeyes for making this event!
Modern AU Guinaifen x Reader who loves Hangyodon
Synopsis: The popular streamer Guinaifen is playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure!
"THERE HE IS!!!!!!!"
Guinaifen couldn't hold back her laughter as she lifted side of her headphones off of her ear. "Someone's excited!"
"Duh!!!!" You merely huffed, hugging a plush doll of the ugly-looking sea creature. "He's my favorite! I love Hangyodon!"
"I honestly never knew he existed until I met you," Gui shrugged, glancing back towards a second monitor to see the chat to see flare up in adoration and confusion. "So...chat!" Guinaifen winked at the webcam. "It's time for my partner to gush out about Sanrio lore~!"
You released an awkward chuckle. "Are you sure it's fine...? I mean...i watched the videos after the stream was over, and I keep taking up so much time..."
Guinaifen placed a soft kiss onto your cheek. "I wouldn't have invited you to be my co-host if I didn't want you here, (Y/N)! You know a lot more about Sanrio than me, so I wanted you to be here! Plus, it's really cute when you gush out!" You pouted as she pinched your cheeks. "I always love seeing you go crazy about the cute little guys!"
"Then..." you took a deep breath. "Lemme show you!"
Welcome back to another session of Guinaifen's Gaming Corner where she streams games that catch her interest! After the popularity of the game known as Hello Kitty Island Adventure swept the internet and the game awards, Guinaifen knew she wanted to try it out! Plus, everyone looked so cute!!!
....but she barely knows anything about Sanrio besides Hello Kitty, Kuromi, My Melody, and Pompompurin...so why not invite her beloved partner and co-host who's a huge Sanrio fanatic!!! That's right! Guinaifen invited you to watch her play the game and give her lore!
...the first episode of the stream was a hassle since Guinaifen and you were too busy messing with the character creation and ended up making an avatar that resembles the both of you by starting with your favorite animal...and then...the plane crash in game stranded you guys on an island, something Guinaifen wasn't expecting...but it was still fun! As Guinaifen met each character, you quickly gave her a breakdown of their lore and series, leading her to loving them more and more! I mean, who can resist their cute little faces?
"Basically," you explained while Gui listened carefully like she always does. "He's a weird fish monster who likes to make people laugh, so he wants to become a comedian!"
"Awwww, what a sweet heart!"
"And...well..." you bit your lip. "He...kinda reminds me of you.."
Guinaifen's eyes widened. "...huh?"
"I don't mean that you're a big fish monster or anything!" You raised your hands defensively. "I just mean...you're also trying to make people laugh and smile in your own way, so I thought you two were similar..."
With a soft pout, Guinaifen hugged you. "That's really sweet, (Y/N)...I didn't know you thought of me that much~"
"But I'm not wrong! I'm sure you'll like him too! We just gotta see him in action!"
Guinaifen stretched and cracked her knuckles. "Then let's talk to this weird fish!"
"...or we could...watch the animes."
"Oh, he has animes? What are they like?"
"Well...it's mostly about him being a detective,"
"Uh huh-"
"And he has an actual gun-"
"...they gave the fish a gun?!"
"And he even has a closet that turns into a time machine called a time closet-"
"A WHAT?!"
"Yeah, and his arch nemesis in this series is a rabbit that turns into a werewolf-"
"How does that work?!"
"Oh, and there's also Fragaria Memories where he has a knight named Hangyon who's HOT-"
"That's it, we're watching this stuff! Forget the game, I need to see this!"
MAOUMAOU BACK AT IT AGAIN WITH AN AMAZING GUI FIC!!!!
Wanna take a second to appreciate the other concepts you came up with for this prompt, especially the madoka magica au :O She would look so ridiculously cute as a magical girl!! Not to mention the angst potential...........
Okay onto the actual fic!!! GOSH this is so ridiculously cute! I love that in this scenario, reader's the one doing all the yappin while Gui's the one listening intently. The dynamic switch up is soo cute and endearing 🧡🧡🧡 Plus I feel like it highlights how genuine of a partner she'd be, putting so much effort into engaging with her S/O's interests and making sure they feel comfortable n safe throughout the process.. what a gal
THANK YOU SM FOR WRITING THIS!!! WAS A TREAT TO READ AS ALWAYS MMMWA
