Well, being twins Bobby and Reina were very close from the moment they were born. They were together all throughout their early childhood, even while they were still in the incubator, and one could say they grew into a unit: Bobby was the shy intellectual child, and Reina the outgoing and active child. In a lot of ways they were opposites, but unlike Lola and Lana this never put them at odds with each other, rather pulling them closer together as they made up for each other’s shortcomings. While they did become more independent of one another thanks to their many newfound siblings, that bond never changed and they often sought comfort and affection from one another.
There wasn’t any one moment that made things change between them, rather you could say that the feelings were always there in some capacity and deepened throughout the years, even if neither were aware of it. It was almost an inevitability, like two pieces of a puzzle. The more astute amongst their family, like Lupa, were able to pick up on it. However, what finally made Reina realize her feelings was when she saw Bobby and Gwen kissing. She could be pretty clingy with her brother at times, not to mention jealous that he was spending more time with the rest of the family than with her, but this was different. She’d always supported their relationship but seeing Gwen and Bobby like that made her feel hurt and sick, like she’d lost something that she could never get back. Thankfully, with some encouragement, she eventually found her way into his arms as well.
