Watershed was unpredictable, to say the least. Addy didn’t know how deep whoever was behind it could dig, but from what she’d seen, getting picked was rarely a good thing. She’d had her gaze glued to her laptop and phone from the second she saw her name on the latest poll, waiting to see what the results would be. Anxiety was starting to gnaw at her insides, and even though she was expecting André, she still jumped at the knock on her door. Her nervous expression transformed into a smile as she opened the door, her grin widening as she locked eye son the promised treats André was holding. “I know I said this before,” she said, moving aside to give him room to enter, “but you’re the best, and I don’t deserve you.”

andré hated looking at his phone right now- at the app, at the VOTE. another one. AGAIN. when would this ever end? it sickened him to no stop, but now it was even worse because ADDY was on it. addy who had never been anything but KIND and WARM. he’d gathered boxes of ice cream, gummy bears, even some of the nicest tissues he could find, just in case addy needed them, before driving on over to her. as soon as he saw addy opening her door for him, he couldn’t help smiling, swooping down to give her a hug. she was so tiny and SHORT compared to him. he chuckled, softly. “trust me, you deserve it. you’re a DAMN GOOD FRIEND, ads. that ain’t exactly easy to forget.” he pulled away from her, eyes running over her briefly to ensure she looked genuinely OKAY. “you wanna talk about it, or am i on Distraction Duty?”

addy: i don't?

addy: deserve you??

andré: you deserve a LOT, addy, you goof.

addy: nobody deserves or deserved any of the stuff watershed's done

addy: honestly i'm not the best trust me

addy: but thank you again

andré: whatevers happened in the past doesnt matter, ads. i know you now, and i know you're great, and yes - the BEST

andré: you've never given me a reason to doubt that.

addy: thanks andy

addy: it doesn't have to be the most expensive. sometimes that stuff is worse than the classic

andré: im just sorry this is happening to you? its.. really unfair.

addy: i mean these tiny votes are usually just spilling secrets
