Even then and there, Emmeline left her office with a list of charms she wanted to try on this one cursed object that had been haunting her for the last three days. If it weren’t for Andromeda’s voice to break her away from her thoughts, chances were she’d have gone on without ever noticing the people around her. Work at times did get to a point where the witch allowed it to consume her just a little bit. “Andy!” Finally the stack of papers in her arms was lowered. “Same old, same old.” The former Slytherin allowed herself a chuckle. “You know how crazy things can get in the ministry. Apparently there is this one item that they really need cracked in order to get their case finalized. Aurors!” Emmeline gave a shrug, hoping Andy would understand what she meant. There was nothing but respect for the trade itself but at times they could get rather tough to deal with.
“It’s good to see you, though. What brings you to the ministry?” The witch glanced around, not entirely sure how the other witch had ended up in that section of the ministry. Then again, it was a literal maze of departments and court rooms. About anyone she could think of had a chance of getting lost. She smiled as she turned back to Andromeda. “How about some tea? I think I could just about use a cup.” Andy looked lost. “Or perhaps a tour guide would help the situation?”

Andromeda tried hard to keep up with her friends, but it just seemed like they were all so busy that life kept passing her by. Between taking care of Dora, being a wife, and her job, she often felt incredibly overwhelmed and busy. She needed to make more of an effort to reach out to people, she knew that she was more than a mom and wife, but with her job being so demanding she often felt like she only had so much energy for other things. It didn’t help that she worried so much about turning out like her own parents, distant and shitty, that she overcompensated sometimes with Dora by being so present in her life. But she was glad that she had run into Emmeline now. She nodded her head. “I do know, we’ve been hearing plenty about things over at the Prophet,” she admitted with a shake of her head. “I think someone is going to be over here talking to the Aurors soon,” she shrugged her shoulders. “I wish them luck,” she laughed.
“I was interviewing someone in one of the other departments,” she explained. “And then, well, I got very turned around. I think that I’m here so often that they think I know what I’m doing, when I’m hopeless with directions,” Andromeda admitted with a sheepish chuckle. “I would love tea,” she smiled. It had been a while since they had been able to catch up, and her bosses wouldn’t care what she did. “A tour would be great on our way to tea,” She suggested with a laugh. “It’s been far too long.”
