Photo by me Poem by Ekeme Afia Tranquility When violent storms rage and mighty winds blow And life pushes me to the point where there's no where else to go Running to you gives my placidity In you I find some kind of tranquility Not the surface calm that the rest give me But the type of serenity that resides within almost continuously When the waves of life take me up and forget me there In your arms you bring me down and remind me you still care The stillness of your voice quiets my troubled soul The warmth of your breath radiates happiness into the inner me Bliss ecstasy and paradise embodied in one being If only I didn't have to leave What you give me is temporarily permanent Why can't you reach the very depth of me for eternity So long nirvana Maybe I will return I still need to find perpetual peace of mind
