so! i wanted to create a lil ask meme for this roleplay, and i thought of doing it based on characters, but since more people are applying, i thought i’d wait a lil bit before doing that! however, i still wanted to do an ask meme, and therefore, i decided to create one based off shops and institutions in diagon alley (more for different areas will be coming soon! so, yes! here we go! ( they’re divided by where they’re situated. )

“Hey, don’t look behind you, but there’s a man who’s staring at you way too intensely. Let’s pretend to chat until he leaves, okay?”

“Do you reckon things would have been even worse in our time if this joke shop had existed back then, or that things would have actually become less bleak? It’s certainly... Colourful, isn’t it?”

“Am I the only one who thinks we should be cautious with those cellophones? I appreciate the idea of them, but aren’t they a little... much? And now my child won’t stop begging for one... Do you think they make them for kids, too? Like, less intense ones that wouldn’t turn my seven-year-old into an independent human being who doesn’t need me anymore?”

“You look like you’ve got a good eye, and I can’t find anyone I know in the vicinity right now, so I thought I’d ask: what do you think about today’s fashion trends? I do like some things, but some others really confuse me. Like, there’s something I’ve seen people wear that was outdated when I went to Hogwarts. Yet, people nowadays seem to love it. Aren’t things supposed to evolve?”

Andromeda’s smile was quite sad as she looked at the various creatures through the store’s front window. She couldn’t help but miss her animals back home. Even the little wild rabbit Nymphadora had convinced them to adopt. In fact, she was quite worried about what was happening to all of them whilst she and her family were stuck here, in the future. They hadn’t been here for all that long, and Andromeda had done her best to avoid finding out too much about the future, but she couldn’t exactly deny the fact that her animals probably weren’t still around at that moment in time, and though she’d have never expected it, that tugged at her heartstrings. Too busy looking at a kitten, she backed away slightly and accidentally bumped into someone else. Quickly turning around, she winced slightly as she apologized. “Sorry, I got distracted. Are you okay?”

DESDEMONA: Do you believe that the truth will set you free?

“That would depend on what the truth is, though I guess telling my family the truth about my convictions did set me free. Therefore, yes. I guess I do believe that truth can and will set you free. Of course, it doesn’t apply to all truths, but I think it’s better to be honest than to live a lie. I wouldn’t be as happy as I am now if I hadn’t told the Blacks the truth, and so, for me, it matters quite a lot.”

EDGAR: Do you want to make your family proud?

“I want to make Ted and Nymphadora proud, yes. And Sirius, to a certain degree. Like, I wouldn’t go out of my way to make him proud, but it is satisfying to know that at least one person from my former family still considers me a person worth knowing. And he’s a pretty good guy, so it’s nice to know he’s not ashamed of me, you know? But really, I do want to make my husband and child proud. Ted, I think I could live with it if he wasn’t proud of me, though it’d hurt, but Dora… I love that kid with my whole entire heart, and all I want is for her to be proud to call me her mother.”

EDMUND: Do you ever wish you’d been born someone else? If so, who?

“No, I don’t. If I wasn’t who I am, then I maybe wouldn’t know my husband, and my child might have never been born. And that’s something I’d rather not think about. My life might not have been easy, but it’s a wonderful thing now, and I don’t want it to change. Things aren’t always easy, but they’re oh so worth it thanks to Ted and Nymphadora.”

“You know, the future has a lot going against it, but this bubble tea thing? Kind of makes up for some of it,” Andromeda stated with a small smile after taking a sip of her bubble tea. She had sat down in front of the other woman as there hadn’t been much other places in the little restaurant, and since she at least knew who Alice was, she assumed it wouldn’t be as awkward as to sit with someone from another generation. Also, she wanted to check in on the other. Andromeda wasn’t particularly maternal with anyone other than her child, per se, but that didn’t mean she completely didn’t care about others. Especially fellow mothers.

“How are you adjusting to it all, anyway? I’m trying my best, really, but... It’s a lot, isn’t it?”

ROSALINE: Which people from your past haunt you?

“My sisters. It’s so… Strange how we just suddenly stopped being sisters. It makes sense, given our different convictions, but at the same time… You’d think as many years spent as a family would actually mean something, don’t you? And I’m to blame too. I know that. I don’t regret what I did, and I never will, but I do know that I could have at least tried to keep things somewhat civil between us. Alas, I had other things to focus on, and at the time, I preferred a clean break. Still, I can’t honestly say that it’s easy.”

OPHELIA: Is there anything you regret not doing?

“Not really. If there’s anything I regret not doing, I guess maybe it’d be not to have done it all sooner, but that’s not really an answer to your question, is it? I love how things ended up; don’t get me wrong. However, I sometimes wish I had gotten away from my family earlier on in life, so that I could have experienced a little more of the world. Then again, if I had done it sooner, things could have ended up differently, and I’m not sure I would have wanted that. In fact, I know I don’t. I love my life the way it is, and though, sure, there are some things that could be different, I wouldn’t change anything right now.”

HIPPOLYTA: What is your biggest regret?

“It’s not exactly something that’s in my power, and therefore I’m not sure it counts as a regret, but I kind of wish Nymphadora could have gotten to know her aunts the way I used to know them. Now, if she ever meets them, all she’ll see in their eyes is disdain, and that breaks my heart. My sisters may not be the best of people, and I’m not necessarily sad that they’re not around Nymphadora, but… It was kind of fun, having a big extended family growing up. Then again, I’m glad she doesn’t know them. So… Maybe it doesn’t count as a regret. I just wish they were better people, I guess.”
