really sucks to see someone mention the 100% fanon thing that queen and/or swatch tried to kill spamton at some point as a bullet point in a broader analysis post about him and see it go unchallenged

yeah, acid theory was extrapolated from that + other dialogue, and the common extension of it where queen and/or swatch had a hand in it is the worst part to me. the theory itself is already questionable but mischaracterizing other characters to try to make it work is worse
i feel like it's had a lasting effect on the fandom that's made people biased against swatch which sucks so much. swatch seems to be the only character with relations to spamton that most people only wanna take at face value despite there clearly being more complicated things going on with them
at least people aren't weird about queen anymore but at acid theory's height of popularity, people acted like she was cold-hearted in ch2 when she really wasn't. she's a pretty chill character even in her more villain-y moments so it was weird to witness that when it was going on
anyway i hate to see anyone treat acid theory like it's canon when it isn't, especially after new info from the sweepstakes implies something different happened to spamt and shows that he has more complex feelings towards queen and particularly swatch. if people wanna hold onto acid theory for an au thing they can go do that but it shouldn't be included in an analysis of the actual canon
