I was chatting with a few people earlier about this moment and how much I love it. This is like the third or fourth award speech where Mingi's said or done something very goofy/charming/embarrassing. I think there's a part of him that's very strategic about it: he knows it'll create a viral moment, which in turn reminds people that Ateez won an award. It's like their encore stage, where he thought up that "pull me close and give me adrenaline with your eyes" gimmick, and now people associate that moment with them winning a big music show.

But what's great about Mingi is that he does these things intentionally and then you can see him react to the consequences of his own actions. With the encore stage, there was genuine delight that the members actually went through with his request. And here, you can see him get super shy after.

Even better, is that while Yunho usually moves way when Mingi gets the mic (no moral loyalty lol), this time he not only played along with Mingi's acrostic poem but stuck with Mingi for the fallout. He even initiated that little touch to be like "that was cute, don't worry." And the Mingi hides behind Yunho!! The princess with his white knight!
