[  μ  ]  -  εγλ  1979.  during  excavations  for  mako  on  a  small  island  in  mideel,  shinra  forces  find  a  strange  crystalline  cave  —  within  a  shimmering  vastness,  they  notice  the  body  of  a  slumbering  man.  believing  him  to  be  an  ancient  frozen  in  time,  shinra's  people  cut  out  the  crystal  with  the  body  &  transfer  it  to  midgar  for  research.

during  extensive  studying  of  the  crystal  &  its  hostage,  the  man  inside  awakens.  he  is  promptly  tested  for  combat  prowess  &  skills,  displaying  enhanced  strength,  durability,  mako  resistance  &  affinity  for  magic  without  use  of  materia;  the  research  &  development  division  thus  brings  a  report:  excavated  human  is  very  possibly  an  ancient  of  superior  qualities.  with  permission  &  funding  of  shinra,  the  project  c  (  for  crystal  )  is  brought  to  life.

[  μ  ]  -  εγλ  1982.  attempts  to  infuse  SOLDIER  members  with  cells  of  the  project  c  subject  is  met  with  mixed  reviews  —  while  infused  units  indeed  displayed  superior  abilities,  occasionally  surpassing  regular  SOLDIER  units,  they  also  reported  experiencing  unexpected  side  effects;  some  report  hearing  voices  in  their  head,  others  speak  of  imbalances  in  their  emotions,  like  making  them  less  focused  on  executing  enemies.  additionally,  project  c  subject  grows  more  &  more  uncooperative,  asking  questions  &  demanding  many  resources,  starting  with  books,  proper  weapons  &  comfort,  ending  with  immediate  release.  along  with  projects  s  &  g  giving  more  promising  results,  project  c  is  scrapped,  its  subject  transferred  to  deepground  to  be  added  to  the  tsviets, since he still carries value to the company as a battle asset.

as  member  of  deepground,  the  subject  of  project  c  is  placed  into  use  for  covert  asset  safekeeping  &  cleanup  missions.  however,  senior  deepground  members  regularly  report  him  abandoning  base  for,  quote,  “personal  affairs”,  failing  to  appear  for  days,  sometimes  weeks. despite  complaints  of  ‘disobedience’  &  ‘unwillingness  to  embrace  company  policies’,  shinra  executives  decline  demotion  or  punishment,  as  nothing  has  disturbed  ongoing  activities.

[  μ  ]  -  εγλ  2000.  —  [  v  ]  -  εγλ  0006.  mass  desertion  of  SOLDIER  members,  resistance  in  wutai  &  rebellion  of  a  high  class  SOLDIER  forces  shinra  to  pull  deepground  forces  into  action. subject  is  deployed  as  protection  to  valuable  turks  &  SOLDIER  units  at  different  settlements  &  locations,  such  as  fort  tamblin,  modeoheim  &  the  destroyed  nibelheim.  watching  a  young  second-class  growing  fills  the  subject  with  a  certain  pride  &  motivation  until  the  events  of  nibelheim,  which  disturb  him.

[  v  ]  -  εγλ  0007. the  stirring  of  the  lifestream  &  appearance  of  minerva  makes  the  subject  increasingly  restless. he  deserts  the  base  of  deepground during a recovery mission in banora,  feeling  extremely  perturbed  by  the  stirring  in  the  lifestream,  thus  becoming  a  highly  sought-after  escapee  with  a  desired  bounty  set  internally  within  shinra  structures. sightings  of  a  dark-armoured  man  across  varying  places  of  the  planet  constantly  keep  a  small  unit  of  turks  on  their  toes.
