This took too heinously long. Which is partly my fault cuz I wasn't playing regularly for... a long time.

I don't mind that AFK Journey isn't a constant content mill. I like that being AFK is the entire point of it, and I like being able to take my time through all of the quests, story and otherwise. I appreciate that it's a very clear casual game, in comparison to other mobile games these days.

Yes I'm sad that Zenless Zone Zero seems to be stepping away from Array Mode, but I'm SO excited to see what these changing mechanics means for the story. Could it open up, for instance, Inter-Knot commissions from the perspective of the sibling? Will Eous be seeing story-progression upgrades in order to support the main Proxy in the Hollows? And how will Fairy, who understands she's slipping into obscurity and yet has some kind of stake in the Proxy's progress (remember we made some kind of pact??), ultimately react? Changing the mechanics of the game means something for the story, and since I've been impressed so far by ZZZ's storytelling, I'm choosing to have faith in the potential direction of these changes.

I like Natlan! The story was really slow to pick up steam and hinged heavily on your experience with the tribes and the world at large, but I like the implications Natlan has suggested for the rest of Teyvat. Genshin Impact's storytelling does have room for improvement, and they've shown peak potential with Thelxie's Adventures, but I still really like the world they've built.

I'm just here to enjoy my time with my games, and I step away from them for a spell whenever I'm burned out or plain mad at something. 'Cause at the end of the day, games are here for my pleasure and reality-dissociation, and ending my support for them is as simple as closing out and uninstalling the game (looks at Onmyoji).

And look--no one needs to agree with me on these points.

But y'know who I really solidified my love like for? Kadoc. And it isn't just thanks to his glow-up (cleanup?) for Traum.

He's reserved, jaded, cautious and caustic, and plays the role of "voice of reason" for Master and Mash. But! He's also kinda really nice and really funny too?? He's starting to really gel with us at Novum Chaldea??

Completely different from the guy always lost in his self-deprecating thoughts back in the Russian Lostbelt. (Thank you, Anastasia.)

Listen. I could go on about Kadoc but I'll stop myself to say

I really wish we could give him chocolates for the Valentine's events. And I sincerely hope death doesn't complete his story arc, as Fate is wont to do. ((Spoilers ahead!!)

I love the action. I will never get tired of those gold and red flashes.

I love the story and the lore.

I love that comics style in the cutscenes.

I love Lycaon and Lighter and (preemptively) Joyous.

I love Fairy.

And good golly gosh I love Belle and Wise. 20/10, ten points each, love the sibling dynamic and how they mess with and love each other.

I started a new file and picked the beach layout. And have been struggling ahahaha.

But luckily I finished a lot of the achievements with my Kutone file so I'm still taking it easy this run.
