The Square Thumbnail

Must be: 

1080 x 1080 pixels

less than 500 kb

Make sure you leave some space at the left-top corner! That’s where the stats of your story will be put eventually.

The Vertical Thumbnail

Must be:

1080 x 1920 pixels

less than 700 kb

As you can see, my samples have the appropriate pixels, contrary to their exceeding file size. In this case, you could use online software or websites to resize, convert, or compress your pictures.

I’m particularly fond of Resize Pixel Website to convert png files to jpg or lower my file size.

The Episode Thumbnail

Must be:

160 x 151 px

less than 500 kb

Episode thumbnails must be taken from the same episode you want to represent it. Most do it by cropping a page or panel in this size. If you find them blurry or pixelated, I wouldn’t worry much, if I were you. They’ll only appear as bitsy small pics under your story’s banner, a little larger on laptops and tablets compared to phones.

The Webtoon Pages

Must be:

800 x 1280 px

less than 2 mb each

Take note that the overall accepted limit is within 20 mb for each episode. In the event that you forgot to cut your pages, as creators tend to draw on a lengthier page to properly pace the panels, or if your pages are not fit to the expected size, Webtoon will slice them up for ya, tho you have to be careful because it’s automatic, not in your control whatsoever.

The overall quality affects the number of your pages allowed to go through the episode. Make sure you have everything set out with probably not so effortful drawing and coloring on each panel for them to fit in an episode. You can just resize or compress each page if you don’t mind.
