about

• ariadne evans, ari for short and aria to her family, is ambition, hope and the summation of the new york city dream. she knows pretty well what fame looks and feels like, she is an evans after all.

• she was in a few smaller plays, but her first big role was as jane banks for mary poppins. and every so often she got casted to play the younger version of the leads. generally, though she does mainly local / regional theatres versus broadway. 

 • small roles don’t really put food on the table, and she spends some of her time in tv musicals, film, and shows. it’s fun but it’s not really the main thing she really wants to do. like, theatre is endgame for her. 

• lives in nyc, but goes to la like an absurd amount. prob spends a good amount of time there tbh, like enough to prob have done local theatre and taken roles before, because her parents live there and she likes to visit them if they’re not visitng her.

• loves: flowers (esp. peonies), red velvet cupcakes, fizzy bath bombs, people whose eyes crinkle when they smile, early mornings

• she’s v sweet, determined, and basically smiles at everyone all the time. obnoxiously optimistic and tries to cheer everyone up. basically always has energy 24/7 even without coffee. honestly, she just lives by the motto of being nice, because she doesn’t see the point of being anything but that.

• mina yu, better known as mimi to the general public has been acting since she was three. she started off as one of those kids in those pbs shows and probably has an embarrassing list of no-longer running commercials she was in. her career sort of launched after she got in w/ one of the major kids channels. 

• sort of loved it, sort of hated it. stopped accepting roles when she was fifteen and her last major tv series ended. was pretty sure she was going to end up on one of those “where are they know” lists online. 

• lasted for like three years before she got back into it. really didn’t want to graduate from kids shows to weekday evening young adult shows, and basically had the Worst Time (TM) trying to get something solid, and basically helped facilitate her transition into film.

• the dry period in which she got almost nothing but tv-show specials has basically been blocked from her memory. landed something solid when she was twenty-one and it’s been pretty okay going since then. 

• pretends to be Classy (TM) to the public eye like her street style is on point but she also sends her friends memes during late night shootings and get drunk after two shots of tequila and goes on to show everyone her son (read: her dog). honestly is rlly just putting up a front and hiding how she’s actually a mess that put salt in her coffee that morning
