For the @loturazine Royal Alliance II, I designed a charm and it turned out so pretty with the color shifting effect! I wanted to do something symbolic for Lotura and what better symbolism than swords and flowers!

“When I promised you that we would be one in this marriage and face all things together, I meant it. No matter the trial.” His eyes widened with an innocent mischief. “Now come marry me so that we don’t disappoint our poor allies, who sit starving for cake.”

I’m back at it again with the memes. If I didn’t take this AU seriously this is exactly how Lance finding Red and grabbing his friends to abandon the Galra Empire would have played out. Unfortunately this scene is... much more angsty.

I think Red’s claws are about the right size? They seem to be like a good 20 feet tall at least (if not more), still super big next to galra!Lance’s crazy height. I did not fully color their outfits for this one because I was feeling lazy wasn’t going to color it at all but you know how it goes

What Lance is doing in the final panel is up to your imagination, but he’s freakishly flexible so anything is possible lol.

I’m back at it again with another fantasy AU, featuring (eastern style) dragon Lance in a Raya and the Last Dragon/Spirited Away inspired AU! 

Lance is a river dragon and he’s a beeg noodle, standing between 9 and 12 feet depending on how curved or straight his neck is, and the length of his body is somewhere around 40 feet long. His horns and fins can glow too! 

Lance can also take a human form, standing at about 6′2″ while Katie is 5′1″. Katie’s outfit is inspired by Raya’s, and instead of Tuk Tuk she has Bae Bae (omg I didn’t realize even their names were similar) who is a giant canine big enough to ride, probably stands 4 feet or so at the shoulder (similar to Namaari’s giant cat). 

I sadly didn’t do much art this year, at least comparatively to other years. And to no one’s surprise there’s lots of Galra Plance as my focus lol. I’m trying to branch out more but Plance is such a comfort ship for me and the past three years have been stressful as hell. 

I’m trying to get better at backgrounds and that’ll be another goal for me in the upcoming year. As you can see I love doing very simple backgrounds or just color gradients, but I’d like to do more actual scenes where it feels like the characters are a part of the background. I still need to improve on things like foreshortening and dynamic poses, and I’ve been learning more tricks to use with CSP but there’s still so much more to learn. But overall I felt like I have improved despite the lack of work I have to show for this year.

The sculpture Psyche Revived is one of my favorites - the pose is so beautifully romantic. I knew I had to draw Plance in the pose for this AU. I take some inspiration from Psyche and Cupid for this AU, as well as Hades and Persephone. Lance and Pidge are terribly star-crossed in this AU but they fight so hard to be with the one they love.

What Lance expects saving the Altean Princess will be like vs Reality(tm). 

Lance and Allura’s first time meeting in the galra AU will be very different from canon, but some things never change XD do not worry, she will still call his ears hideous. But since Allura has even more reasons to hate all galra in this AU, seeing Lance wearing red paladin armor will be a horrible combination for a first impression.

Based on this meme because it fits beast!Lance so perfectly. He wakes up and chooses violence most days. A bonus Pidge and Hunk, probably after witnessing Lance doing something dramatic and destructive:

Honerva gives the Paladins exactly what they think they want, but in turn it destroys them. There is a chuck load of symbolism here for my Galra AU and it is giving me Feelings(tm). I will delve into the meta of this under the cut.

I started doing the shirt cut meme for Pidge and then I was like... welp, I gotta do it for Lance too. This was fun anatomy practice and most of these turned out way better than I thought they would.

For Pidge we have: Zootopia AU (Paradise Lost), Zodiac Gods AU (The Constellation We Create), Ninja AU (Beyond Good and Evil), Galra AU (Shatter and Tessellate), and Mer AU (What Tides May Bring). And yeah... Pidge’s bust size is different in every AU for me it would seem lol. I like variety. 

For Lance we have: Cosmic Reaper AU (The Vacant Ether), PIKE (Defenders of Aurita), Zootopia AU (Paradise Lost), Galra AU (Shatter and Tessellate), and Mer AU ft. baby Orion (What Tides May Bring).
