It is so difficult to balance having an eating disorder and be a successful student. Often my need to be absolutely perfect academically can outweigh my need to feel perfect in my body. And, I’ll eat more so I’ll have enough energy to ace my tests or stay awake through school, but then feel overly guilty for it and end up binging and purging.
Please does anyone have suggestions on how to balance school and weight loss?
my average is 9+ out of 10 (abt a 3.8 gpa in american standards if that tells u something(?)) and honestly just get enough sleep, eat healthy food and MAYBE do some casual exercise..
i eat around 800cals on average and mind u i eat a LOT but its always healthy lowcal food. my meals are usually around 200-300cals so i have room for snacks, *healthy* snacks, in case i feel like it.
im a morning person, so i wake up at 4am to do alll my studying or whatever, but the thing is (during school days): i have my first meal at 3pm when i get home. before that i may eat 3-4cookies (90-120cals) or a piece of fruit. i dont get a proper lunch break at school, so i either eat nothing or a fruit (srsly fruits are 💘). then at like 5pm i will eat whatever snack im craving (if any) and around 6pm have dinner if i didnt have a snack or the snack was very light (ex. fruit lmao). by 7/7.30pm i will already be in bed, ready to sleep whenever (earlier than 8.30pm)
during the weekends its more or less the same. i always turn in my assignments on time and have plenty time to study AND have social life
some extra info is:
i try to go on a run everyday in the morning, even if its just 5 minutes. if i dont go for a run, i will go on a long ass walk during the evening
i walk everywhere all the time, except when my dad wants to go shopping with me
i try my hardest not to eat any chocolate/sweets, so i NEVER buy them, but if my mum makes any kind of dessert well, i will have some
i try even harder to not think about food, because that will make u hungry asf +prone to binging
and if i ever eat a lot, i try not to think abt it because getting sad only makes me worse and demotivated:(

dont weight urself every day, but if u do, only use ONE weight as reference (bc of weight fluctuations)
also, and i think this is relevant, im a quick learner, so while i spend quite a bit of time studying (4~5h+ daily on average), i dont need to put in that much effort. fix ur own routine that fits ur needs to maximize efficiency !!
