The original Shamilk is a jester, right? And in this costume, Shamilk is portrayed as a king.

And I really like it because everything about his costume takes away everything that makes him Shamilk.

It gives him the opposite role to what he chose to become when he was corrupted. It replaces his blue color palette with pink, removes all the eye motifs he has and replaces them with hearts, which are all Eternal Sugar.

It also takes away his long hair and eyes that showed his emotions.

Because since Fountain of Knowledge, not counting Sage of Truth, his hair has been shown getting shorter and shorter, with the Shamilk from Ad Lib Ending having the shortest hair.

This is the one who lost everything that made him who he was.
