Had the pleasure of witnessing Andrew Bird play with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra last September celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Mysterious Production of Eggs (2005).
They played through the album top to bottom, including some solo instrumental tunes played by Bird towards the end. Truly an unforgettable experience that allowed me to be immersed in his music in a completely different way. There’s nothing like seeing him play live. The beauty of Bird’s sound resides in the intuitive in-the-moment choices he makes within each song. Seeing those choices being made in real time blew my mind. Incredibly grateful for this concert experience.
Also, of course, some photos from my seat.
