We are thrilled to share a glimpse of our upcoming title: The Black Ink Manuscript: Liaozhai's Selected Hauntings.
This collection will present 15–20 chilling tales from Liaozhai Zhiyi (known in English as Strange Tales from a Chinese Studio, a classic 17th-century anthology of supernatural stories by Pu Songling) in a fresh new way for English readers.
Rooted in the spirit of Chinese ghostly tradition, the stories are infused with a subtle touch of Lovecraftian atmosphere, heightening their sense of unease and otherworldly dread while keeping their cultural essence intact.
We are collaborating with the incredibly talented Chinese artist Buzhouxian, who has just completed the very first illustration for the project, and we are excited to present it today.
