The old Saiyan was watching with utter distrust in his eye, though if this weird stranger just wanted to stand there all day, what did he care? He wasn't Frieza, or else there'd be a much different reaction. With a grunt, he shifted the carcass of his kill for a more comfortable position against his good shoulder, some large four-legged animal, before moving on at his unfortunate slow pace. Strong he may still be, but the injury that damn near killed him was probably the worst part of surviving.

And yet, and yet…

From some distance, as is only polite… and sensible, Roh begins to follow his unwitting companion. But he makes no real secret of it, sensing that to do so shall almost certainly lead him down a more troublesome path than he’s at all prepared to undertake right now.

After only a moment or two of this, he decides also to speak up, and he doesn’t wait for the man to turn his attention to him, as he’s not even certain he will. 

“...so. I’m… doing a little, uh, I don’t know, prospecting in this area. I can see you’ve got your hands full at the moment, so what do you say to a sort of…” He flaps his hand a few times, searching for the right word, “...oh, very brief trade? If you’re willing to play the part of a temporary info broker for me, then I’m sure there’s something I can offer to make it worth your while.”

⸺❝While he is stubborn, brutally honest with his opinions & sometimes brash, I do enjoy his company. We might not always agree, but that is perfectly fine, as I do appreciate his critiques or advice... for the most part, anyway. It is a plus that we share the enjoyment of flora.❞ Though yes, Roh can be a bit much as well as aloof, though Rosalia understood it to be part of his nature. If she didn't at this point, given that they knew each other for years, they wouldn't be much company for one another.

⸺❝One must admire his ability to enjoy life's simple pleasures for as long as he had been around. He does sometimes perplex me as well as challenge my own ideals at times, though honestly that is a good thing - one should not be so set in their ways and become rigid. The occasional whimsical moments had more often than not remind me that being serious is not always the way, even if I do not always realize it.❞ And yes, Whis still does catch her by surprise even after all these years, yet that came with the territory in regards to him.

It’d be easier to swallow if it was at least done in anger, if Roh had managed to get under Pell's skin and goad him into this; alas, for Pell, it had just been part of the fun, and he’d had a ton of it.

Staring mostly at her hand on his shoulder, he glances to her face for only a moment before that gaze falls again. “...You know, I can do that, too. But something tells me your version of it comes from a different place than mine.”

(Still, the word does give him a strange fluttering feeling he's in no mood to examine further.)
