Unfortunately for Green, he hadnât expected Shadow to block him using the Ice Rod rather than teleport away or be knocked down. After Shadow had taunted him and given him a push, he had no time to brace himself. He stumbled backwards, but not before grabbing Shadowâs weapon with his right hand and dragging him down as well. The Four Sword fell from his left hand as his strength was channeled to holding onto the Ice Rod.
âIt seems like I donât need to knock you down at all, Shadow!â Green remarked after reorienting himself on the ice so that he was on his knees, eye level with the newly-grounded demon. His instinctual reflex to grab for something in order to prevent a fall had caused him to bring Shadow down with him. While it wasnât his plan initially, this could work in his favor. Before anything else, though, he had to keep Shadow from going anywhere.
Retrieving the Four Sword from where it had fallen onto the ground, he quickly pointed it directly at Shadowâs face, right between his eyes. It was shaking in place slightly due to the fact that Green had not only just taken a direct hit onto ice without bracing himself but was also trying his best not to actually cause too much damage to Shadow. Not just yet, anyway. First, he wanted answers.
âLook at the situation youâre in. If you move, Iâll use Force Energy. Now, letâs just calm down and talk this out. Why are you trying to steal from the Treasury? And now that I think about it, why are you even here? Shouldnât you be somewhere else?â Greenâs voice had risen slightly out of genuine confusion. Shouldnât Shadow be dead?
Shocked by the sudden action of Green grabbing hold of his Ice Rod, Shadow fell along with him just as the green knight had hoped for. His landing wasnât as rough as the otherâs thankfully. Green kind of cushioned his fall from a hard impact on the ice, but he quickly tried to scramble up on off of the knight and ice.
To his surprise, Green had moved much quicker than he did and was now pointing his sword straight at him. He hadnât had time to get up on his feet, but he too was sitting on the ice, kind of leaned back so the point of the blade didnât touch his face. Shadow could see that the boyâs sword was shaking, so he didnât feel at all scared or threatened, but kept his signature smug smirk on his face.
âFiiiiine, fine. Have it your way. Iâll talk.â Despite how Shadow felt he could easily pull through Greenâs shaky defense, he decided not to risk it. After all, this knight was fast and there was a chance he could land some Force Energy. He believed he could escape, but might as well play along.
â âCause... I liked âem.â A simple answer, but it was the truth. He hoarded things like a dragon, and took whatever he found of interest and kept them. â âN what do ya mean? I can be wherever I want. Does that answer yer question, Mr. Knight?âÂ
