Dorian Gray jokes never get old.
Hypnotic Pattern is a spell where you smoke and somebody else is getting the trip.
- party mage explaining spells (via yourplayersaidwhat)
dialogue prompt: the Christmas tree incident
âTo be fair this isnât the most illegal thing heâs done to impress a crush.â
This was really interesting.Â
What in the living hell did I just watch?
A child sick of the repetitions in his life.
I am glad I took time out of my day to watch thisÂ
//Iâm sorry if it pisses people off that I have this on my blog but this is literally everything that truly upsets me in my personal life.
The way they have the studentâs as numbers really got to me on a personal level I canât even begin to describe. My school boards treat us as if we are just simply numbers, thatâs why we have âstudent numbersâ that we use for everything.
The horrible pollution and toxins we are practically pouring into the air we need to survive.
The way the teacher just looked at him like he was an âitâ and not an actual person.
The way they graded the students not even caring.
The way it literally BROKE not only him but an entire generation.
The worse part is the ending because not only did he save the dogs life, that he had watched die everyday, he died himself doing something different for once in his life.
Not to mention thatâs probably the first and last time he has ever laughed.
Sorry for ranting I just needed to get this off my chest.
oh my god and then the pictures. how weâre allowed to be âindividualsâ and âthink creativelyâ but all of the pictures were just slight variations of the same thing- what they wanted us to draw.
and then the part where he starts shaking and the teacher looks so confused. because the teacher cannot comprehend why a student could POSSIBLY be unhappy when he/she gets such good grades.
this video is beautiful, and worth the 4 minutes of your life to watch
just the fact the childrenâs mouths are zipped up goes to show how we as children have no voice, just silenced in order to conform to what is deemed as normality. but when the zips break, and the kids escape we see they all run in the same direction (apart from the main character), which to me says how despite the opportunity of freedom and individuality, we dont know of anything else, how to do things by oneâs self, so we progress in a similar conformity as from the start.
also, thereâs the mask that the teacher wears, which kinda says how we only know what we see, not what lies underneath.
Also a fantastic use of Chopinâs funeral march.
and note how even when their zippers break they still have no voice.
This was absolutely terrifying and amazing at the same time
I wish I saw this when I was in school.

If you could stop time around you you would be instantly blind, because light would stop moving into your eyes or bouncing off objects.
While it may seem correct, it isn't, due to Einsteins theory of special relativity. In it he uses the Scientific Law that states that all motion is relative to the frame of reference. A secondary portion of this is the constant speed of light- 300,000km/s, or C. Taken together this creates the conundrum that SciFi movies take advantage of to create "warpspeed/lightspeed." As you approach the speed of light, time slows down and distances shrink. This is known as time and space dilation. In other words- if you reach the speed of light, time will stop for you, and all distances will compact until there is no distance in the line you are traveling. But for someone watching you, time will pass as normal and no hijinks will go on with distances. For example:
If you are at the speed of light and throw a baseball in front of you at 50mph, you will watch it move away from you at a speed of 50mph, even if it by all means shouldn't be able to go faster than the fastest speed which you at at right now. However, because all motion is relative to a frame of reference, someone watching you throw the ball away from you at 50mph while you are going the speed of light will only see light.
Simply put:: "Even if you are traveling at the speed of light, because of the constant speed of light, C, in the viewers frame of reference(in this case your frame of reference), light will still be moving from you at the same speed of C."
Science, bitches.
Ten questions to ask a friend who just read your novel
Here are ten questions to ask that will not put your friend in a tough spot, but will still give you some useful input on your novel:
1. At what point did you feel like âAh, now the story has really begun!â 2. What were the points where you found yourself skimming? 3. Which setting in the book was clearest to you as you were reading it? Which do you remember the best? 4. Which character would you most like to meet and get to know? 5. What was the most suspenseful moment in the book? 6. If you had to pick one character to get rid of, who would you axe? 7. Was there a situation in the novel that reminded you of something in your own life? 8. Where did you stop reading, the first time you cracked open the manuscript? (Can show you where your first dull part is, and help you fix your pacing.) 9. What was the last book you read, before this? And what did you think of it? (This can put their comments in context in surprising ways, when you find out what their general interests are. It might surprise you.) 10. Finish this sentence: âI kept reading becauseâŚâ
Your friend is probably still going to tell you, âIt was good!â However, if you can ask any specific questions, and read between the lines, you can still get some helpful information out of even the most well-meaning reader.

This is really useful advice, especially if the person youâve shared your story with hasnât had much/any experience critiquing.Â
It does a great job of asking for a balance of both positive and negative feedback in a way thatâs comfortable for both the author and reader.Â
Ooh, these are excellent, and I have a hell of a time coming up with good questions to get more than a cycle of âI liked it!â âGreat, what did you like about it?â ââŚIt was good?â

There should be a website/subreddit where people can post a picture of themselves and bisexuals can show them a picture of someone of the opposite sex that is about the same level of attractiveness as them. That way we get a more unbiased idea of how attractive/unattractive we are
I like this idea actually

Premise: Because I rose to the challenge of speaking entirely in limericks, the GM decided to put me in more and more positions wherein I would have to perform, just to mess with me. We were at a royal ball for this particular instance.
GM: *steepling his fingers like an anime villain* You have been asked to perform. Remember your restrictions.
Me (OOC): Like you would ever make me forget. I take the stage and begin to play my lute.
GM: Roll for Perform
*success*
Me: Now I tell you a tale     Of some Pythons and a Grail     We start in Anthrax,     A castle, true facts,     With virgins begging to be nailed.
GM: Are you seriously doing Monty Python and the Holy Grail right now?
Wizard (OOC): I cast Amplify Voice on him. I want the entire kingdom to hear this.
Me: Galahad was a knight quite pure     His leanings, indeed, demure.     Anthrax ladies seemed querulous,     His position, quite perilous,     Indeed he needed a rescuer.     Enter Lancelot to the fray!     He kept the horny ladies at bay.     Galahad was dragged     And Lancelot bragged     About how he saved him that day.     Yet still, Galahad groaned,     for, if about Lancelot he had known     he wouldnât consider it sin     if he decided to put in     to eight score ladies, his bone.
*the entire table starts laughing, with the obvious exception of the GM*
GM: Iâm going to give you 500 points of RP experience for that, but only because of the appropriate use of the word âquerulousâ.
Adult: your hickey is crude and trashy, you should be ashamed
me:Â
is a teenager
is living life and having fun
is bothering no one
hasnât had 3 failed marriages
didnât ask, martha
About half way through most horror movies, I easily disturbingly rationalise the possibility/certainty that I would have already just killed myself
It's scary how accurate this can be

I was watching World War Z and this caught my eye. Seemingly innocent. But not to anyone one the Navy. The lapel pin in the left is for the rank of Lieutenant, an O3. The lapel pin on the right, however, is a gold oak leaf- the pin for a Lieutenant Commander, an O4. Like I said, not a big deal to most, but this is a pretty glaring movie mistake.
Youâre the same as the one-eyed fish in that pond. Eventually, youâll turn into darkness too.
In my mind itâs always Ginko = Plants
