this is a red-winged blackbird with leucism. typically, the bird has no white on the body, and is entirely black except for the small patch of color on the shoulder. leucism is a genetic mutation that results in a lack of pigmentation.

Dinoween No.29: Graveyards

Setha and Mik from the Maastrichtian University are taking a stroll by the famous P-T Mass Extinction Cemetery around Halloween. Little do they know…that they’re being watched!

Gigantic duckbill dinosaurs bigger and faster than a T. rex roamed western North America for millions of years. From magnificent mummies still wrapped in skin to crests and skeletons of animals from all ages, Edmontosaurus has left behind the best preserved remains of any big dinosaur.
