      well apace she was in her intake of her own person, a twirl ‘pon her heels as she spun left, then right, head craning as she came to glance over her shoulder, focused on the way in which the skirt of her garb moved about stiffly. it was unlike all which she had known in her own realm, shadow to the silk and samite gowns to have composed her very closet and made of something which daenerys could not quite place. indeed, the given dress of this establishment was unlike anything which she had grown accustomed to and yet far from the discomforts of much humbler attire, the type which she had worn during her time in the free cities.

              cinched at the waist, monochrome in palette: buttons to ride up the white blouse beneath a black apron, hosiery ( black as well ) high above her knees and thighs. not quite so “scandalous” when in comparison to all else which she had ever worn in her lifetime and yet for reasons which dany could not place, she was slightly bothered by her reflection.

          For all the complaints he may or may not have had about his new job, Alibaba at least felt secure knowing that he did not have to wear too ridiculous an outfit. He dressed like a cook, but nothing more ridiculous than that. The girls on the floor, the hostesses, were a different story entirely. He knew their outfits had some strange significance that he really only half understood; he’d never seen dresses quite like them before, although they seemed to elicit a certain attitude from some patrons. Not that Alibaba himself didn’t find them remotely cute (he was a fan of attractive girls, after all), but the costume meant little to him.

          He could, however, understand why Dany felt so strange about them.

          With his arms crossed over his chest, Alibaba examined the outfit, though not in a lecherous way. Lovely as she was, he’d accepted some time ago that she considered him no more than a friend -- and he couldn’t say it bothered him at all as time passed. Something seemed ... off about the entire arrangement, though he couldn’t exactly put his finger on it. After all, it wasn’t like fashion was exactly his strongest suit.

How I feel about this character: MY KING. I would follow him to the ends of the earth tbh. I’ve considered taking him on as a muse. but. mostly. just. my king. I don’t always agree with him but don’t ever talk to me about Kouen because I love him so much. I have too many words to put here.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: I have literally not thought about shipping almost any Magi characters in canon. or outside of canon, with the obvious exception of Alibaba. like I just don’t care.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: CAN I JUST SKIP ALL THE SHIP QUESTIONS. Ummm. Non-romantic?? Kou siblings gtfo of my face I loVE THE SIBLING DYNAMICS IN THIS DAMN FAMILY.

My unpopular opinion about this character: I wouldn’t know what an unpopular opinion is, considering I’m not really ‘up’ on the Magi fandom opinions. Do people think he’s a secret softy? Because I don’t necessarily agree with that, while also not believing that he’s as tyrannical as he usually seems.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I JUST NEED TO KNOW HE AND THE OTHER KOU CHILDREN ARE OKAY. I REALLY NEED TO KNOW THIS.

a head canon fact: Kouen was a very reserved child. For some reason, this is very important to me. I literally have no idea why. Also he has a lot of difficulty expressing himself, which is a trait he’s turned to his own favor throughout his life.
