“And what exactly is that supposed to mean?”

“It’s a shake up.”

“You know, I never thought there’d be a lack of aurors,”

“Given the state of things it’s not that surprising but I agree it’s something that I never thought would happen.”

“It’s called Jeon,” she explained, a little blush on her face as she looked up from her spot at the stove. “My mother sent me the ingredients to make it for myself since I missed it on New Year’s.”

“That was nice of her. What is it? I mean what are the ingredients? What’s the purpose?”

“I bet. I don’t remember doing that to Tara’s brothers, but I’m sure I did at some point,” she agreed. “That does happen. I remember when I hated when Tara’s brothers would follow us around because their parents told them to keep an eye on us.Remind me of your sisters’ ages again,” Bethany said, trying to recall how old they were.

“I don’t think their friends mind that much, but that’s usually because I’m taking them on summer day trips.” Amir said, smiling. “Banhi recently turned 13, Jasleen is almost 11, and Rasmi is 8. There’s about two years between the girls.”

“They are all a bit different. I think we’ll start general. Any kind of love. Do you think love is important?” 

“Yes. I’m not sure where I would be without the love of my family, and the security of knowing that they love me in return. The love I have with my friends, where I love them and they love me and there’s no expectations or pressure to love them back or perform certain actions based on that love.”

“Yea well. I am here. I am traffic. And this traffic would like to know about how long this is possibly gonna take? I mean not cuz im trying to get any where or anything, just cuz I would hate to pull out all my notes for a study session just to discover the road has been cleared.”

“I’m not exactly sure? Part of my idea of it all was to collect feedback from people as well as document it. And the initial creation, of course.”

“I didn’t know that you had artistic inspiration,” he said, but he stood back and looked at what Amir had set up and nodded his head. “I’ll admit that I’m not an art guru, but it definitely looks cool. Is that the point?”

“I’ve been entertaining younger siblings since I was three, it’s forced me to be creative.” Amir laughed. “To look cool? Yeah. It’s just supposed to entertain people. Brighten their day.”

“It was merely a joke. I doubt you would need seven mugs anyway.” 

“You underestimate how much cocoa I consume.”

“Are you entertained at least?”

“The more important questions is if you’re entertained or not.”

Fine.  I’ll help.  

“Great.”

“Let’s start with love. I’ll let you come up with your own thoughts about it and then we’ll exchange.” 

“Romantic, platonic, or familial? They’re all a bit different.”

“That explains it,” she said, laughing with him. “Yeah, it was. They’re pretty great. And I’m sure you do it a lot! With three sisters, I’m sure they have a lot of friends who come over.”

“Puppy eyes can get older brothers to do pretty much anything.” Amir told Bethany. “They do. I don’t know them that well, since I spend so much time here at school. But I do see them over the summer, although oftentimes they just like to keep me for themselves. Or they used to. They’re getting older now and Banhi is at the age where it’s not ‘cool’ to spend all her time with her siblings.”

“Things definitely have changed. In many ways. Of course this time I’m purposely trying to get trouble.” 

“Like I said. Things have changed. How that plan working out, anyhow?”

“I’d be interested. She might just roll her eyes, but I think that saying you write on your arms because you don’t plan on the falling off is kind of something that’s hard to argue with.”

“I guess I’ll just have to try it next time and see how it pans out.”
