I've really enjoyed recently practising using THREE.js and am currently working on a data visualisation project. Love green tea. Love South Korean culture. 십팔 Eighteen Vs. 씨발 Fuck

The number eighteen is pronounced Ship-pal (십팔). Unfortunately, if you say this number with even the slightest error in pronunciation, it sounds like the F word in Korean (shi-bal / 씨발). It’s so similar that ’18’ is often used as slang on chat rooms to replace the F word.

씨발 must not be confused with the verb “to fuck” but it can translate to “fuck! / shit!” when used angrily. There’s no such thing as “I shibaled my gf last night”. It can also be combined like 씨발놈아! [shibalnoma] = “You, motherfucker!”.
