Today, we release Future Orphans—our final album as American Standards.

13 years ago to the day, we dropped our first full length record, Still Life. Now, on its anniversary, we close the chapter with an album that’s both a culmination and a tribute. Mastered by Jay Maas at Getaway Recording—the same person who helped bring Still Life to life—it all comes full circle.

We set out to make Future Orphans everything we ever wanted American Standards to be. Raw, unpredictable, dynamic. Every note recorded knowing it’d be the last. We didn’t rush it. Life happened. And rather than force it out before our farewell show, we took the time to make this right. And we’re proud.

This one’s for every person that’s ever screamed with us in a room, spun a record, or shared a moment. You gave us 15 years. We’ll never be able to thank you enough. But this album is our attempt.

In less than a month American Standards plays our last show as an active band 12/09 at The Rebel Lounge in Phoenix, AZ. Joining us will be some of our favorite bands in the valley across multiple genres. We’d love for you to join us one last time. Don’t think of it as goodbye. Think of it as a celebration of the community made and memories shared over the past decade.

Say farewell 12/09 at The Rebel Lounge.

Although we wish it was under better circumstances, we’re honored to play one last show in Tucson this Friday at club congress. Tucson has always been a staple for us doing shows with touring acts such Atreyu, ‘68, and Emery, festivals like Southwest Terror Fest and Infest, and sharing the stage some of our favorite locals in The Bled, Lariats, and GAT ROT.

Friday at we get to honor the life and legacy of Harmony Rankhorn. Music from Sinphonics starts at 8:30PM followed by the last American Standards set in Tucson. There will then be a special TIDES album release listening party and memorial.
