rolling her brown eyes playfully upon hearing her shrewd remark, 𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 fought back the human urge to laugh. she was still a bit disquieted, but opted to put that conversation on the back burner… at least for now.     “don’t!”     𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 comically exhorted, cutting her orbs at her to keep the rest of her thoughts on the topic as just that.     “hmph.”     crossing her arms in her usual animated fashion, 𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 caught herself slipping up and chuckling.     “i guess i can share a little. only if you’re gonna share some of yours, otherwise, no deal!”     though she had wanted to remain livid at her, 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 struggled with the ability to hold a grudge with people she genuinely cared about. 

“i’m more of a tequila gworl. not even ‘bout to lie!”     𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 held her hand up, waving it a bit as she chuckled lowly.     “but vodka ain’t all that bad either.”     she would append while jokingly twisting her lips.      “i kinda’ feel like when in jamaica, do as the jamaican’s do and do rum for the night, but i’m a lightweight… not even about to pretend like i’m big dog when it comes to drinking.”     𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 joked just before giving the other woman a friendly wave upon hearing her name.     “nice meeting you, doll. and yup, that’s me! you’re a delta, right?”     𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 queried, feeling as though she had seen the woman in passing at various greek life events. 

a stern expression took over 𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀’s face at the sight of the other woman. of course she knew that she was bound to run into her, but naively she hoped that that would be some time from now.     “why do i get the feeling you mean that wholeheartedly?”     she teased, sipping slowly on her multi colored daiquiri.     “right now it’s between ackee and codfish, or jerk chicken with rice and peas. the verdict is leaning towards both!”     reluctantly giving her eye contact, 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 attempted to remain amiable towards her, despite not entirely feeling how the other woman was moving. 

with a miami vice in hand, 𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 sat back, already on vacay mode. it was much needed, especially with everything that came with balancing school life, work life and greek life. exhaling a deep sigh of relief, 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 went for a few sips of her cold daiquiri, soon after nodding her head in approval at her drink choice.     “with ease, no question!”     she voiced while chuckling,     “i’m on the fence, but it’s really giving jerk chicken with rice and peas.”     thinking over her choice, 𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 tapped her index finger over her chin.     “ion’ know though, ackee and codfish kinda’ sounds good too. what about you?” 

“i live! not a lackey!”     humored, 𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 would bring her hand up and laugh directly into it to suppress her own laughter. she hadn’t ever heard someone phrase it as such, at least not in person.     “that freshy probably just glad you even paying them any bit of mind.”     shaking her head some, 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 visualized an eager freshman attempting to assist the other female.     “cause bay bay, they be getting paid to dust any other day! i’m cool with sitting with y’all, cause between me and you, i was about to be sitting behind some dude with a big ole’ head.”     adding emphasis to her comedy filled words, 𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 would roll her irises in a playful fashion while slowly finding her way up the line.     “should’ve just had one of my soror sisters hold a spot for me. if they coming with raggedy tacos, i stan you rioting during halftime!”     joshing, of course, 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 fought back the urge to giggle some more. instead, she studied what she could finally now see on the menu now that the two were getting closer. 

though 𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 had anticipated it being deep at the gym, she hadn’t projected it being this busy.     “damn! so much for me getting a good spot.”     she would holler upon entering inside of the gymnasium, her brown pigmented orbs studying just where she would be forced to sit for the game itself. releasing a dramatic sigh, 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 used the concession area as an opportunity to take her mind off of her frustration at hand. she was dainty and having a difficult time surveying the menu, and so, when asked about the food options all that 𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 could do was let out a muffled laugh.     “i ain’t even all too sure, but i have a feeling our feelings are gonna’ be hurt.”     shaking her head some, 𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 would run her fingers through her lengthy straight tresses.     “cause they always doing us dirty or skimping!”

poring over the minuscule menu, a muffled laugh plummeted from between her set when she heard the inquiry about the taco type.     “it really depends on my mood, but i’m more of a corn tortilla kind of gworl. don’t get me wrong though!”     𝐀𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐀 would hold her tiny hand in the air, waving it comically as she went on.     “i’m never too sadiddy for a flour tortilla!”
