I like it. I still like Buttercup better. But seriously…why does it bother you that much if I call you that?

"I didn’t want her stressing herself out, so I did what I could. I think it’s easier for her now I can give her details on how Charlotte is developing."

Amelia nodded slowly, one eyebrow raised "How much of this do I have to listen too to be polite before I can tell you I'm bored"

Regardless of the circumstances, people don’t really want to let people who have murdered people out to work with the public until they feel they’re properly rehabbed. 

Rehabbed? The guy pulled me into an alley to do everyone knows what with me- I stabbed him with his own knife! How am I meant to be rehabbed for self defense?

"I think everyone did, but it’s hard for her… not being able to actually see for herself and make sure that she’s okay." he shrugged, "Vanessa met us at the hospital, she actually saw her daughter."

"Mhmm" Amelia shrugged- she loved Vanessa, but frankly as someone who hated kids she just couldn't relate to how her friend felt about it "that's nice that she'll have less to worry about"

I have no explanation for that, honestly.

Me neither. I have literally no money at all, and that's just rosy. Can't by cigarettes can't get any makeup and god forbid I should want any actual interesting books or a decent coffee...

"I’m sorry about that… In here I’ve come to find sometimes people need to take ‘me’ time, but they’re not very good at letting you know when ‘me’ time is going to happen." Blake smiled a little, "She’s doing okay, I took her and Cheryl to the hospital to get her fever checked out. It’s just a sick bug, she’ll be fine now she has some medication."

Amelia shrugged "I know... the timing was just very convenient, that's good though, about Charlotte- I told Nessa it wouldn't be anything too big"

"Why wouldn’t you be happy about that? I’m doing alright, I got a job as Charlotte’s babysitter so Vanessa has me running around checking she’s okay. But I like it."

"I could try and explain, but you'd not understand. It's a while since I've seen River too..." Amelia sighed, tugging a hand through her hair "That's nice though, how is Charlotte? Last time I talked to Nessa she wasn't well"

"Amelia," Blake tilted his head at her then shook his head. He wanted to tell her that she could drop the ‘murderer’ thing, because he’d known her long enough to see that as tough as she acted, he could tell what she did wasn’t in her usual nature. But he didn’t want her to bring up those walls again and it wasn’t his place. "so how have you been?"

Amelia stuck her tongue out the corner of her mouth as she considered an answer to his question "Technically healthier, but not all that happy about that or anything else"

"Okay maybe not. I’ll just go bury it."

"That'd probably be better than handing a weapon to the murderer, yes."
