when Lemony Snicket wrote “I will love you if I never see you again, and I will love you if I see you every Tuesday ” that hurt me

i gotta say it one more time love is real and you dont have to earn it you dont ever have to earn love you are already deserving of it, you are already enough as a person, you dont have to work to a goal or an ideal or whatever to be a person or to be okay or to be yourself. you are already enough there really is nothing to earn no battle to fight no sacrifice to make to get to a point where you will finally, finally be Enough. you are loved. someone loving you isnt what makes you worth being loved. loving you is a privilege. i have put way too much thought and work into figuring out what love means and whether im capable of it, whether im something that is capable of being on the receiving end of it, to not say that if i am, and if i deserve to Be, and that if im already enough as is, then you are too. im typing this wall of text because i dont have the words to say it smaller, to say that you dont have to make yourself small for the world to have room for you, and that you get to be loved and comfortable in that space no matter what. 

ok yeah i’m physically here, but mentally i’m dancing through meadows and forests in ireland to ancient folk songs so you best bet i’m gonna ask “what did you say” again for the fourth time.
