Somewhere in the West
Continuing my month-long series of posts on New Mexico and the Great Divide: after driving past a huge mine I made it to Silver City. It has been an Apache campsite and later a place where Spaniards mined copper; the town was founded in 1870 due to a silver strike in the area.
I found it to have a fairly interesting and attractive business district, but when I asked a man (who I approached for dining advice) if he lived in town he said, "unfortunately." Perhaps it's a bit more touristy than he would have it, but I'm not certain.
There's still a huge open-pit copper mine, known as Tyrone, south of town, that I had driven by. I shot this (above) at the mine—they had a viewing area that was oddly locked up. As for my project, on the Divide, we're basically sitting atop the watershed in this this town.

I like this article because it’s not what you think it is.
the world is a strange and wonderous place
Was thinking about really high numbered streets (312th St., things of that nature) and wondered if there was an Infinity Street anywhere. Would be a clever name for a loop or something. Turns out there is one but it's in the middle of nowhere Texas and this is literally the entirety of it:
Also check out the adjacent streets lol hats off to whichever optimist came up with these:
