Pretty basic roleswap, the Misfits take the place of the Society, Mr. Vernon takes the place of Mr. Benedict, Kalagan takes the place of Mr. Curtain, etc.

The Whisperer is allowing Kalagan's mesmerization (is that the right way to say it?) to be more widespread, instead of using creepy subliminal messaging it just repeats things like "I know what you did", "you can't hide from your own past", and ofc "what have you done?"

SORRY I LOVE THE GOLDEN TWINS SO I HAVE TO YAP ABOUT THEM FOR A SECOND, they're much better at solving Mr. Vernon's coded riddles + making sense of the Institute's weirdness, because they were literally so perceptive in the fourth suit and yet they were STILL underused

I still need to figure out what to do with the rest of the Emerald Ring / their backstory in the AU, suggestions are very much welcome

Slightly unrelated but I think Leila and Kate Wetherall would get along so well, as well as absolutely terrifying the rest of the Misfits / Society with their antics

The inspiration mostly came from Minori's "Dreams Lost in the Crowd" card, although I don't think that would be her costume... Something about her sad expression combined with the card outfit just made me think of Madoka Magica!

Minori's magical girl outfit would either be from this card or her 2022 birthday card... Haruka's magical girl outfit would be from this card... Airi's magical girl outfit would either be from this card or this card (I genuinely can't decide which one I like more!)... And Shizuku's (sorry she's purple, there wasn't another blue) magical girl outfit would either be from this card or this card (minus the giant ribbons)! I think I picked from different sets for every outfit? I hope so, at least, but I'm too lazy to go back and check.

It’s definitely not a nice thought that’s just popped into my head. But I’m going to entertain it anyways, Because somehow flesh-eating monsters Are much more palatable than my laptop screen. (And much easier to handle Then the realization That I don’t know the answer.)

It’s not like I’d actually welcome the destruction of civilization. Neither do I want to think about the deaths of all my family and friends. So that makes me feel a little better, at least As I sit in this stuffy lecture hall And pray for the zombie apocalypse.
