Love Story
Dear Maya Merry Christmas! We are with the princess and having so much fun! We went to see Santa (again) and to ride the carousel tonight. Her favorite ride is the unicorn with the pink ribbons, She is getting a carousel music box. There is something magical about carousels. I donât think we ever outgrow them. She told Santa she wanted a dollhouse and âmore books pleaseâ because she loves stories. We never outgrow wonderful storiesâŚâŚâŚespecially love stories. They are their own kind of magic.
K: I love hearing you read âThe Night Before Christmasâ in your British accent. Itâs so fucking sexy
R: I never get tired of reading that story but you know what my favorite story is?
K: Does it begin with âIn a galaxy far far away?â
R: ooooh. I do like that one but thatâs not it
K: so what is it?
R: ours
K: our what?
R: our story
K: the story of us?
R: thatâs the one. Itâs my favorite. You want to know why?
K: let me guess. Because itâs a love story?
R: youâre one sharp cookie
K: you better go eat the cookies she made for Santa before the dogs get them
R: If I dress up like Santa will you sit on my lap so I can tell you a story?
K: are you serious?
R: is that a yes?
K what kind of story?
R: I dunnoâŚâŚ..sit on my lap & letâs see what pops up
K. ??? wait SHUT UP. Are you trying to get on the naughty list?
R: If Iâm lucky! And you better not pout Iâm telling you why
K: lemme guessâŚâŚâŚ..Santa Claus is coming?
R: Hopefully
K: omg. Can we ever have a conversation that is not about sex?
R: not on my watch
K: pfffffffffffttttt ok. Meet me under the mistletoe?
R: lucky for you I have it hung all over the house
K: Yeeeessssss I am so fucking lucky. Merry Christmas Santa. I love you
R: Merry Christmas Mrs. Claus. I love you more
So sweet Maya âTis the season of whispered wishes and mysterious smiles and eyes twinkling. And magic. Santaâs on his way. Itâs going to be OK.

So sweet
Thank you!
â38 Movies Weâd Like to See Nominated for Best PictureâÂ
By Kate Erbland, IndieWire
including :
âPersonal Shopperâ
âPersonal Shopperâ creates a fully realized universe that merges visceral dread with deeper observations about its causes. Audiences unwilling to wrestle with this fascinating gamble demonstrate the worst fear plaguing moviegoing culture: Something different. -EK
âThe Lost City of Zâ
Uncommonly sumptuous, patient and textured for a movie with such little emotional heat or staying power, âThe Lost City of Zâ doesnât feel like a work of mimicry or homage so much as it does an immaculately crafted throwback â this isnât just what movies used to look like, itâs also how they used to crackle, move and hum. Oh, what a blessing! Seeing this projected in 35mm is like mana from heaven. -DE
âGood Timeâ
Thereâs simply no other modern American filmmaker capable of generating comedy and deep-seated suspense at the same time. âGood Timeâ combines anarchic sensibilities with an exacting style, its loopy plot starting in dark places and heads into willfully absurd directions before doubling back to a wakeup call. The essence of this unique directing duoâs appeal is they pin down what it feels like when crazy escapades die down and life gets real. -EK
Falling for green
Dear Maya, I love this time of year. Itâs November & the leaves are changing colors. Many leaves and old limbs have dropped and withered away but our beautiful old oak tree is still full of emerald green foliage. The oak tree represents strength, endurance & faithfulness. True, that green is jealousy & evil for those who generate bad karma but green represents renewal & energy for those with good intent. Did you see our gorgeous girlâs handsome man wearing green? Iâm pretty sure every time he looks into her emerald eyes he finds himself falling for green too.
K: Hail to the king of twitter
R: coming from the queen I take that as a compliment
K: Whoa. I am sure as FUCK not the queen of twitter but you sire, do rule
R: if you are bestowing this title on me based on the last few days of twitter flattery, I humbly thank you milady. I still believe you hold the title of highest twitter royalty.
K: whatever dude! You know how I feel,. Screw twitter. I am so fucking proud of you tho. I love seeing you have a good time over Good Time. ABOUT.FUCKING.TIME too
R: Thanks love. It WAS a good time. Really lovely people there in Savannah
K: hey you looked hot in green
R: you liked my sweater? it reminded me of your eyes
K: youâre a sentimental dork. Twitter calling it a âDad sweater.â LMAO
R: Dad sweater? Then guilty as charged âŚ.Dad? check. Sweater? checkâŚ.. BesidesâŚâŚyou had my favorite jacket.
K: puhleeze. You have dozens of jackets.
R: but you steal my green one
K: but you have others
R: but itâs green like your eyes and it smells like you
K: pffffffffft. and I wear it cuz it smells like you
R and then I take it back and wear it cuz it smells like you again
K: like I saidâŚâŚâŚâŚsentimental much?
R: I thought you loved that about me.
K: I do. I do. I am just SO so stoked all that shit is behind you & that you are blowing up twitter.
R: wait. what ? You hate twitter but you like it when I blow up twitter?
K: yeah OK I still hate fucking twitter like totally. BUT I love seeing you get the recognition for important things like your work. Which means you blow up twitter. UGH I fucking hated these last few years of shit where your work took a backseat & you blew up twitter for the wrong reasons
R: you were always there for me. That was the only thing that made it bearable
K: but now thereâs Deauville, more Dior, all the new magazine covers. Youâre free dude! Now itâs time to get the accolades you SO deserve
R: honey youâre making me blush
K: thanks for the shout out in Savannah too
R: shout out?
K: donât be coy dude. All about me. I heard it
R: what? I donât talk about my personal life. You know that
K: you said and I quote: âHopefully Iâll be able to keep doing something that I loveâ
R: yes. And?
K: well. I know what you love doing! We did it last night. And again this morning. That was totally a shout out to me
R: I was talking about my work
K: yeahâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚrightâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ.
R: I do believe you have developed a one track mind
K: learned from the best
R: You told me that extra hour we got last night was for âdoing what I loveâ
K: andâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚâŚ Did you take advantage of that extra hour?
R: yes. and then some
K: so are you complaining?
R: never
K: just checking.
R:how could I have endured all of the shit in the past 3 years without you?
K: youâll never know will you?
R: because you were always there watching out for me
K: where else would I be?
R: I like that we get to write the ending to our movie. Good Time - our own version
K: now our life is a movie? Um no.
R: the best kind. A love story
K: which is not ending dude.
R: I didnât mean it was ending. I meant we get to write it the way we want
K: havenât we already been doing that?
R: must you always have the last word? I thought you wanted this to be my time? My turn to direct the show remember?
K: I love when you direct . Did you see me complaining last night or this morning?
R: never
K: Then thatâs a wrap.
R: I canât argue with that. I love you
K: I canât argue with that. I love you more
So sweet Maya, Summer was so hot. The cooler fall temperatures feel delightful and refreshing. Little by little fall whispers that good things are on the way. Itâs the season to give thanks. Itâs the season of hope. Itâs going to be OK.
Rob accepting the Maverick Aware #SCAD
Robert Pattinson was recently required to film in New York.
Extracted Robâs quotes from article Robert Pattinson: âWithout therapy I donât know how youâre supposed to do lifeâ by Elisabeth Day published Nov.3 2017
About not going out much
Heâs 31 now and freely admits he still doesnât get out that much. âI donât know anything about anything,â he says, only half-joking. âI live in a bubble inside my ivory tower.â
About difficulty in trying to shoot Good Time undercover
âYou walk down the street and thereâs like, one person, and you can see that even if they donât really recognise you, thereâs a kind of flicker of something.â After that, someone might send a tweet, and then a photographer arrives having been tipped off, and then âwithin hours the entire situation changes. People in the street start looking, then everyone starts taking photos and the entire energy isâŚâ
He breaks off, and when he speaks again it is with a sort of helpless matter-of-factness: âYou just canât shoot.â
About Connie
He even exchanged fake prison correspondence with Benny Safdie and improvised a physical altercation at a car wash. His performance was influenced by the 1970s classic Mean Streets. âDefinitely,â Pattinson agrees. âHe lives in his own reality. I think thatâs what very successful con men do. Itâs like, even when theyâre lying, theyâre not lying.â
About not doing superhero movies or other franchises
Unlike many of his contemporaries, he has successfully resisted the lure of lucrative superhero movies or comic-book franchises. âItâs because I canât get a six-pack, Iâve tried for years,â he deadpans. âNo, I think itâs scary to be sort of synonymous with one part⌠Iâve never even auditioned for them.â
About his own look and style and image
When we meet in a London hotel, Pattinson is in the middle  of filming High Life, the English-language debut of French director Claire Denis, who he has wanted to work with for years, and is finding it a struggle to shift his mindset from filming one movie to promoting another.
He repeatedly apologises for being âtotally spaced out⌠Iâm kind of, like, all over the placeâ. Normally, when a film star says something like this it stems from an automatic politeness reflex or an attempt at offbeat charm. But Pattinson really is exceptionally spaced out. In person, he is about as far-removed from the self-possessed immortal high-school heart-throb of Edward Cullen as itâs possible to be.
âSorry,â he says at one point. âThis is terrible. Iâm trying.â Iâm surprised how unsure of himself he seems. Even his clothes are uncertain. When he went to the Coachella music festival recently, âI felt like I looked like a bit of a narc [an undercover drugs cop]. I looked way too overdressed.â
Today, he is wearing a boxy leather jacket, turned-up trousers and trainers, all of which are in shades of black or navy blue. âI had to do a photo shoot so I look very, very styled today,â he says.
About falling into acting
At 19, barely out of school, he got the part of Hogwarts prefect Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. âI sort of fell into it and went on from there,â Â he says. Does he think heâs a good actor? âI donât know. I know I try hard.â
Still, when Twilight came along, his life would never be the same again. At first, his family were âworriedâ how he would cope with the attention. âBut then I just didnât really change. And it was fun. For me. I had good agents and stuff and Iâve had really good friends since the beginning. So  I think when it gets dangerous for people is when you have no friends and you think, âOh, if I get strangers to love me then it will fill that hole.â And then when it doesnât fill the hole then you go 10 times crazier.â
About fame and mental health
Does he think fame comes with certain mental-health issues? âYes,â he says, not missing a beat. âDefinitely. Pretty much every person I know whoâs got famous is completely nuts. Itâs just isolation and also the repetitiveness of your interactions with people⌠Itâs just weird.â At the height of his fame and while living in Los Angeles (where he still has a home), Pattinson came up with a complicated system to throw the paparazzi off his scent.
Wherever he went, be it a bar or a restaurant, he would take a change of clothes. He would then order several Ubers, swap outfits with one of his friends in the toilets, and send them out into the waiting taxis as decoys. During one period, he had five hire cars parked around the city.
Each one had a change of clothes in the boot. If Pattinson was being followed, heâd drive to one of the rental cars, switch vehicles, change outfits and then leave.  Is it important to him to be able to disappear? He nods. âI try to not be seen whatsoever between movies. So hopefully the only thing that exists of you in the public realm is what you agree to put out there⌠Itâs always just a control thing.
If the control of your life has been taken away from you, thatâs when you go a little crazy.â And has he ever gone âa little crazyâ? âI mean, kind of,â Pattinson admits.
âI canât really tell how crazy I was before. Itâs definitely difficult to really know. But yeah. I think being able to disassociate and compartmentalise kind of helps you quite a lot. If you let everything hit you all the time it would probably be quite difficult to cope with.â
About crazy fan mails he received
Celebrity has often been surreal. Pattinson says that when he was in Twilight, his agent used to receive sackfuls of fan mail. âI remember once my old assistant found this letter from this woman that was just the worst sob story ever. And it was like, âYou have to read this, this woman has had the worst life ever.â
And I was reading it like, âFâk. I should call her. I should definitely call her.â And then he was going through the rest of this box and he was like, âWait a second,â and we noticed the exact same handwriting on a totally different sob story⌠It was funny.â
About his anxiety and therapy sessions
âI get a lot of anxiety with everything.â How does it manifest itself? âJust kind of paralysis, indecision. You donât really end up doing a lot.â He describes acting as a means of escaping the intense thoughts in his own head. Â âOne really nice thing about acting is that itâs like a weird therapy exercise. If youâre insecure or shy or something, then you can kind of experiment with expanding your horizons within the framework of a fiction.
âI get so much anxiety in performance and everyoneâs reaction is to say, âJust be yourself!â And myself, in general, is the last person I want to be.â A few years ago, Pattinson started going to therapy. When he told his parents back in England they were âliterally horrified. And I was like, âWhy is that a bad thing?â Thereâs just this weird stigma. Itâs so strange⌠But I think itâs a sort of throwback attitude.
âI donât go that often. I just really like her [his therapist]⌠Youâre just trying to figure out how you feel about something. Iâve got a lot out of it⌠I mean [without therapy], I donât know how youâre supposed to doâŚâ He sinks into a lengthy pause. Life, I suggest? âLife,â he agrees and he looks down at the floor and then back up at me and smiles.
Robert Pattinson is not what I expected. From the outside, his existence looks charmed. Yet behind those perfect looks, his head is a bubbling cauldron of anxiety, self-doubt and unanswered questions about life. It makes him interesting to talk to. Itâs possible it even makes him a great actor. But above all, it makes him less teen vampire, and ineffably, undeniably more human.

Note # I am extracting Robâs quotes from this print interview because the interviewer does not seem to know much about Robâs filmography (besides Twilight) and used a lot of her narratives and background from tabloid sources e.g. suggesting Robâs smoke âsubstancesâ, cheating and fake engagements.

Robert Pattinson on acting, fame and his new film Good Time  - BBC Newsnight             Â
Rob with BBC Culture Correspondent Stephen Smith on how he went undercover in New York to shoot the film. He also elaborated on how to live after his life seismically shifted after Twilight. He recollected shooting a Domino Pizza scene in Good Time. How impossible it would have been to shoot the movie if he had been recognized with one single stolen photograph published by the public or paparazzi. He also discussed how some people due to their own ego did not treat a family member who has mental issues right and not many movies touch on that. And gave his thoughts about being a political writer!  Â
Great intimate interview.
Oct 16 2017: Juliette Binoche took and shared a photo of the cast of High Life when they were filming in Germany.
My imagined conversation with a typical Robsessed âfanâ :
Sessed: Gasp! Rob is newly single again who shall he fall for next? So glad to see him happy hereâŚ.
Me: Dude he has been exceptionally happy since Good Time started promo some time ago.
Letâs seeâŚhow about that blond one on his left. Agata Buzek?
Me: Nope, already married, high profile Polish actress. NextâŚ
On his right? Claire Tran? They look kinda cosy togetherâŚ
Oh you mean Kristenâs co-star in Clouds of Sils Maria? One who adores Kristen? (see Claire Tranâs old IG posts)
Sessed : Maybe Rob is secretly gayâŚ. you know he has been pretty wierd and artistic in those androgynous magazine shoots lately. Wasnât there a rumour once while filming Little AshesâŚ.?
Me: You mean with Lars Eidinger? Yes another co-star (TWICE : for Clouds of Sils Maria and Personal Shopper) and admirer of the great Kristen. You might want to check out the press conference in Cannes last year where he openly gushed about his admiration when asked about Kristen.
To cut down your work I will summarise what he said about working with Kristen. He said Kristen inspires him, explained that a long scene in Prague with Kristen is the best experience EVER acting wise for him. Lars was an invited jury of Cannes previously, an older (41 years old) fellow actor, who had heartfelt admiration of Kristen´s âideal actingâ of being in the moment, even when he confessed that they both differ in the way they work.
âShe is truthful in every moment´says Lars.Â
Sessed: Hmmm⌠maybe he will fall for an older women this time. All those young girls who donât know how to treat him right. Yeah, Juliette worked with him before, they even had a hot sex scene in Cosmopolis, thatâll work.
Me: You mean another co-star of Kristenâs? The one Kristen worked with that got her the cesarâs? How about watching a Rolling Stone interview with the both of them and conclude for yourself (like Peter Travers) that they genuinely like and admire each other. The great multiple award winning Binoche admires Kristen Stewart⌠go figure.
Sessed: Mia Goth looks like a good match! Both being londoners and actors like Rob. I am sure they fit nicely.
Me: Dude, she is married to Shia LaBeouf who is also Robâs friend. Get a grip with your awful Rob matching skills. Huh!!!? Kristen with Mia Goth (2nd Left) at MET 2014.
The only thing that match is Kristenâs connection with Rob. And more than half of the people in this photo like/admire/love Kristen (including the person taking the photo : Juliette Binoche)
So give up on shipping âanyone else but Kristenâ with Rob already. RME
âWeâve all been talking about this motherfucker foreverâ says Kristen Stewart giving kudos to women speaking out about abuse #ELLEWIH

Tickled Pink
Dear Maya Pink is not exactly an autumn shade for a fall magazine but our girlâs handsome man made up his own rules! Rather brave of him. I wasnât quite sure what to think. I admire the creative aspect but I prefer the Dior campaign. Beautifully styled. Timeless. And speaking of beautiful and timeless - I got a bottle of Gabrielle last week. Early birthday. It smells really lovely.
R: hey gorgeous
K: Hey I was thinking about you. Iâm eating lunch.
R: What are you eating that made you think of me?
K: In & Out. So.Fucking.Good.
R: thatâs not fair. Burgers here just arenât the same. I need a burger. Or five.
K: seriously youâre going to eat 5 burgers? I thought you were into hotdogs now
R: Iâve had a brat or two but sometimes you just need a burger. Iâm hungry. Been filming all day. I would never make it as an astronaut having to eat space food.
K: Sorry dude. I donât think they have burgers in space
R: When I get home weâre going to In&Out
K: deal. Since you âneed a burger or 5â
R: hey did she get my package from Amazon?
K: yeah. You are so fucking hilarious. Pinkalicuous?? Nice. YOU are Mr Pinkalicuous
R: I wanted to send something about pink. You said the Wonderland cover confused her.
K: it did. She wanted to know if you were wearing my skirt since she knows I was wearing your pants
R: and my shoes. And my jacket. Is that all she said?
K:She asked me if you were dressed for Halloween. I quote âDaddy pink hair is scaryâ. Guess we need Pinkalicuous Halloween book
R: OOOH. That bad?
K: dude. No words.
R: show her the Dior
K: I did. She said she liked that better
R: Twitter was posting them
K: you know what I think about Twitter
R: I canât help it. I have to peek now & then
K: they were probably all over Wonderland
R: Iâll tell you what Wonderland Iâd like to be all over
K: ????
R: you. Your body is a wonderland
K: mmmmm Ok. You want to use your hands?
R: you have to ask?
K: just making sure. Great song btw
R: I heard a new song. Versace On The Floor. You wore Versace to an Eclipse premiere
K: you remember that?
R: Of course
K: Iâm pretty sure Versace ended up on the floor
R: now itâs Chanel on the floor
K: How about Dior on the floor
R: are you saying you want to do it on the floor?
K: Not like we havenât already
R: You naked on the floor. My wonderland
K : Hate to fuck up your fantasy but Iâm not naked
R: you wearing my jeans again?
K: maybeâŚâŚand if I am itâs cuz I miss you so fucking much. AND sharing is caring. Right?
R: honey, theyâre too big. Two of you could fit it that waist
K: yeah guess I need a burger. Theyâre so big sometimes they fall to the floor. Thereâs a new song for you. âjeans on the floor and Iâm nakedâ
R: and youâre pinkalicuous too. In all the right places
K: OMG STFU
R: see you in a couple of days
K: totally up for a game of hide & seek
R: weâll be âbusyâ so wonât be hard to hide
K: I like your kind of âbusyâ. I miss you. I love you dude
R: yeah I miss you my beautiful girl. I love you more
So sweet Maya Hard to believe itâs almost Octoberl. I actually ordered Pinkalicuous Trick or Treat for the princess. Sheâs going to be a storybook character. Itâs fun to dress up and be silly. What matters is knowing that the person underneath the costume is still the same person that you know and love. Itâs going to be OK.
