last night i dreamed that i drew this… it’s my (apparent) interpretation of the most obscure character in Yu-Gi-Oh!

"I hope you find what you’re looking for." He might not be able to do anything for himself, but maybe this ghost could do what it needed to pass on. Hell, he’d probably help them if he could. Then, at least, one of them could be happy.

        'I already have found who I search for in you, Oniichan.' Came the quiet giggle from the little girl. 'Onii-chan, I don't wanna go to Heaven yet, okay? i wanna spend more time with you.' She'd missed spending her life with her brotjer after all.

Ryou paused shortly before opening his eyes, a light shiver down his spine. There was a presence near him—he was sure of it. A ghost? Some sort of spirit? It couldn’t be anything worse than what he’d already faced. Perhaps it was a wandering soul. He’d put out some incense later. “Ha.. Still concerned with making my home accommodating to wandering ghosts.”

     'Onii-chan... Open your heart more and we can reunite at long last.' she whispered, her arms around him, trying her best to offer whatever comfort she could to her brother.      'I've been waiting for you for a long time, Onii-chan. Let's always stay together.'" she stated, nuzzling into her brother some. 

“It is…something I’d rather not talk about but it isn’t you.”

     Relief that the budding friendship was still there and she hadn't driven him away yet.              "I understand, do you wish me to leave you be for now?"

    "...." her heart ached for him, as it always did. She knew he'd not feel a thing but she sat down behind him and wrapped arms around him. 'Onii-chan.. Onii-chan... Show Amane that smile. Show show Amane your pretty eyes!' Maybe her feelings could get across, even if her words no longer did.

Cheat? A look of mock surprise appeared on his face, complete with wide eyes and a mouth hanging open. “Ah! You would dare call me a cheater?” He asks, pointing to himself dramatically and giving a sniff for effect. “You wound me~ I simply did what most would do to a fair lady!”

    Pause, blink blink. Was he serious?                Nope!        A giggle fell past her lips as eyes lit up and she clapped her hands, fully at ease and enjoying his company now. "You're rather silly! I like that!" She hadn't had such a laugh since she still walked at her brother's side. "I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Amane."

A look of shame colored his features, his arms crossing over his chest as he looks away from the spirit. His anger….usually never got the better of him but today he just didn’t feel like himself. “…Sorry.” 

     "....." She stepped back, or would it be floating as she bowed her head to him. "Forgive me if I have angered you somehow, you need only call my name if you wish to speak however." A more polite, formal tone. One her brother used when meeting new people.
