Two Women Kissing in Nature (b. 1859)
— by Georges Rochegrosse
question for wiccan, pagans, withes etc.
mind spund weird idk, but of nowhere I've felt a strong urge or call to start an altar for somebody? maybe? idk if its like a general urge to start one and find somebody or if a specific somebody is seeking me out?
idk how to explain it but yeah if anybody has tips or advice to figure it out please let me know.
The most advice you'll hear is "do a tarot reading". Good ol' divination. Pendulums could give yes-no answers (e.g.; "Is someone reaching out to me? Do you want an altar?"). Tarot and oracle could be used for more in-depth questions and answers. I don't know your practice, though, so maybe this isn't as viable for you as it is for others.
Asking the entity to be clear and direct with you might be helpful; and be patient with the dreaming stuff, dreams can come from a variety of factors. I saw my first deity in a dream and didn't realize it was her until months later.
Keep an eye out for things that could be signs, such as repeating numbers, noticing more of a certain animal, item, concept, etc, or encountering more about a certain deity in online spaces (although this can be finicky due to potential algorithms). For instance, The Sun and gardens have been recurring themes in my practice and life, and I tend to notice the smell of rain and soil very prominently. My primary gods rule the harvest and weather.
You could also just sit on it for a bit. Maybe clear a shelf and keep an eye out for things you might inexplicably be drawn to. Like the signs given in dreams and the waking world, the things an entity wants on their altar can give clues to their identity and what they want from you or want to work on with you. Take it at whatever speed is comfortable. And things might not click together for a long while. Keep an open mind and be patient. If there is an entity/deity that wants to work with you, I'm sure they can wait, too.
thank you! you answered my questions and more!
