If this really wasn’t all one big joke and they ever did meet, Jay would have to remind her of just how difficult she was being in this moment in time. Really, he would have been laughing if he wasn’t so occupied trying to track down the mystery woman– someone he knew well yet not at all. How ironic. But there was no time to sit an analyze the situation.

you act like he’s the president or something– no big deal!
but ha that’s really weird where even??
Once the message was sent, he knew it made little sense. On one hand he wanted to keep responding to slow Alyssa down in case there was still some way to catch her, but then he didn’t want to get too distracted for fear of missing the opportunity. He was already moving past people as politely as he could, trying not to attract too much attention. It was proving impossible to do it all, and in the end he just sighed in mild annoyance and brought his phone up to his ear so that the others in the event would avoid speaking to him.
Then an idea: why not actually call?
Jay stopped now that he was out in the hallway, debating whether or not to dial his friend. Maybe it was the comfortable curtain of anonymity that kept the two exchanging only text messages, so they had never spoken before. There was a chance she wouldn’t even answer– the male wasn’t sure why he was even so frantic to find the other, though he had a vague feeling an opportunity like this wouldn’t happen again, and that things were somehow ‘uneven’ now that she had seen him. Sighing, he began to walk towards the elevators, assuming Aly had left the building by now and actually pressing ‘Call’.
The elevator door opened and closed too many times. The culprit who was responsible of pressing the button and forgotten all about it, stood in front of the elevator, completely focus on her phone. Her accomplice proved to be an important distraction.

No idea but I guess his jacket is similar to the one I picked
out for you or was it his pants? I don’t know but too much of a
coincidence.
She reckoned the event he attended was as uninteresting as hers, which would provide a kind explanation to why his response was faster than usual. But what she didn’t expect next was, the name appearing on her mobile screen.
There was an unexplained feeling buttering up inside of her. On the surface, she appeared calm as an ocean. Inside however, a series of violent ripples were slightly agitated by the continuous ringing device in her hand. Her eyes widen in surprise as her movements ceased — heels seemingly stuck in the thick carpet. There was nothing she could do except to stare blankly and mildly confused at the screen. This is a first. Why did he suddenly call? Did he accidentally press her number? Or — Too many questions circling inside her mind but the best way to confront all of them would be to pick up the call. The simple ‘Hello’ was forego conveniently with a simple reasoning; it would be too formal and their friendship aren’t exactly that formal to each other, rather they were quite casual and comfortable with each other over messages at least so she figured it didn’t matter.
“Now this is a surprise,” she speaks calmly when she finally picked up the call. “Did you get the wrong number or did you call to pester me for Jay Park’s picture?”
