How nostalgic it was, to be referred to with a term that had constituted most of their play when they were younger, back when Frederick was in the later portion of his teenage years. Frederick had watched over Chrom and Lissa then, and much of their time had been spent cheerfully, through the game of kingdom, or so they had referred to it back then… something along those lines. Now that he recalls, it was a rare phenomenon for Frederick to ever address him by his name directly.
“I’m glad to hear that.” He breathes a sigh of relief, a content smile gracing his features. ”Now that that’s taken care of… Where were you headed, Frederick? Maybe I could escort you there… Are you travelling to your bar?” Needless to say, his excitement, akin to that of a child’s, is scarcely concealed at the very prospect of accompanying Frederick to wherever it was that he planned to go.
Ah, but there was one problem; but it could quickly be dealt with. Hooking the plastic bags on one arm, he taps away on the screen of his phone, for several seconds, awaiting Frederick’s answer before sending any signals to the multitude of people that worked beneath him. ”I can call someone to pick these up for me.” he adds, in a carefree manner; and it is in moments like these that such luxuries seem common to him. ”I rarely try this sort of shopping on my own, after all.”
Call it a habit, but really Frederick chose to continue using the term in referring to Chrom. It was almost strange not to do so, actually. He might only ever do so in frustration, which was rare, as a parent might. Using the full name, you know? Though even then, it was rare or not even directed at Chrom himself. Did he personally find it strange? Hardly.
"Ah.. Yes, milord. I was on my way back home."
Watching as Chrom busied himself with his phone, Frederick fell silent as he waited. "Milord, it is unnecessary that you escort me. Really, I'd rather take your things back for you than someone else. It's inconvenient for them to come this way, is it not? Honestly.. It would be no trouble for me." Even if it was completely out of his way, heaven knows Frederick wasn't joking. They weren't far from his bar as it was, hence why he walked, but he would be more than willing to personally escort Chrom all the way back to his residence without question.
Much loyalty. Such wow.
"Though, I do agree. It's not often you go out like this." He knows your name and your story. ".. Let me rephrase that. To be honest, I wasn't expecting to see you here alone, milord. Should you not have someone with you? I'll admit I'm a little concerned.."
"If you do insist on joining me, then I'll be sure to offer refreshments upon our arrival. And I'll take you back personally."
