"Huh—you too, then. Mind if I join? I was actually on my way to the library as well for some quiet work." With his brothers home, there was no way he would have gotten anything accomplished. 

"Ah--I'd be fine with it!" Truth be told, non-basketball related recreations with the other made him a tad nervous. He knew he was sufficent on the court, and enough to impress his senior, but otherwise, he knew his redeeming factors may not interest the other. "I may end up needing a bit of help, actually...so I'd prefer it."

"Nah—I just got here, too. Go get changed."

"Yessir." Promptly jogs to the changing room, returning a minute later in his uniform. "I guess I am pretty early...no one's still here yet."

"What’s up with you? On your way home?"

"I was going to the library, actually..." He needed a quiet place to study in peace. "I needed a few books for a project I'm doing...and it's a bit hard to concentrate at school or at home...what about you, senpai?"

"Huh—that’s surprising; you’re early today.”

"Ah--I was just extra excited for practice, I guess? I'm not too early, am I?" 

"What?"

"...oh--er, I didn't really need anything. I was just greeting you..." Is he not allowed to do that. Wow, don't make him feel bad.

"Nah—" and he makes a basket, "They’re at the top of my list of favorites."

"But in all honesty, I've never actually thought about what kind of music you'd listen to...being able to talk about it and discover all this is pretty nice, though! It means--" Well, it'd mean they were becoming closer, wouldn't it? Better friends? But perhaps the other wouldn't think of it that way--better to not say a thing about it. "...but if you don't mind me asking, what else is in your top of your favourites?" Makes an effort to practice his shots all the while so that the other won't get angry.

"You listen to them too? Huh—didn’t know you listened to that kind’a stuff."

"Ah--yeah. I mostly listen to that kind of stuff, though--and a lot of other things too, but..." Shrugs. "What, did it seem like my taste would be...bad, senpai?" Dangit.
