and so they are coming close to the end.  they have stepped out of their home,  about to welcome death of their humanity with open arms. the plague surges through their blood as they spend their last moments staring at a purple-red sky.  though aside from the groans and footsteps of malformed denizens,  there’s a figure that wanders with a stride of purpose,  not of careless,  animalistic trudging.    they look over to them,  hands clasped in prayer.   

 “   you there !  yes !  you !    could you perhaps,  erm,   get me down from this ?  i took a misstep and set off a hunter’s  trap and i’ve no notion when they will return.   please !  time is of the essence !    “  

“  sir ?  sir,   come closer,  if you will.  i have a proposal,  if you’re interested.  only a minute request.   “
