Election season is here again. Everywhere we look, there are opinions—on social media, in conversations, and in the news. It can feel loud and confusing. Everyone seems to have something to say.

But in the middle of all this noise, I think it’s important to pause and think clearly.

An election is not just about promises for the future. It is also about looking at what has already been done. Before we decide who to support, we should ask: What has actually improved in our lives?

In Kerala, we are used to certain basic things—good hospitals, quality education, and support systems for people. Many of us don’t even notice these things daily because they have become normal. But if we look closely, we can see that these didn’t happen by chance. They are the result of strong policies and consistent efforts over the years.

This is one reason why I feel positive about the Left Democratic Front (LDF).

One important area is healthcare. We have seen how valuable a good healthcare system is, especially in difficult times. Government hospitals, local health centers, and affordable treatment make a big difference. These services help people from all backgrounds, not just a few.

Education is another strong point. Many government schools have improved a lot. Classrooms are becoming more modern, and students are getting better opportunities to learn. Technology is also being used more, which helps students prepare for the future.

Infrastructure is also improving. Better roads, transport systems, and internet access make daily life easier. These changes may seem small, but they help people travel, work, and connect more easily. Over time, they create more opportunities for everyone.

What I like about the LDF approach is its focus on people

The goal seems to be long-term development instead of short-term popularity. There is an effort to create equal opportunities and support all sections of society.

At the same time, it is important to be honest. No government is perfect. There are always areas that need improvement. Pointing out problems is not wrong—it is part of a healthy democracy. Supporting something doesn’t mean ignoring its flaws. It means understanding both the good and the bad.

For me, what matters most is the direction.

Are we moving forward? Are systems improving? Are more people benefiting?

These questions are important when making a decision.

This election is not just about choosing a party. It is about choosing a path. Do we continue with what is working and improve it further? Or do we take a completely new direction?

Personally, I believe in building on progress. When something is working, it should be strengthened and improved—not ignored.

I also believe that development should include everyone. Growth should not be limited to a small group. It should reach ordinary people and improve their daily lives.

That is why my thinking aligns with the LDF.

In the end, voting is a personal choice. Everyone has different experiences and priorities. What matters to one person may be different for another.

But one thing is clear—our choices matter.

So instead of just following the noise, it is better to think, question, and understand. Look at real changes. Look at real impact.
